Elliott's Live Events was the umbrella name for a group of events hosted by King Elliott Ingonyama the First. While not specifically Furry Events, they draw many members of the Furry Community. With guests from the Anime, Furry and Science Fiction Communities, these events had an eclectic crowd. They featured an artists' lounge, a dance floor, a dinner, a headless lounge, outdoor activities, a series of movies, and a video game arcade. While open to all, with no age restriction, and welcoming both furry fans and their friends, pre-registration was required.

Happenings[edit]

His Majesty hosted three types of events: Royal Festivals, Castle Cotillions, and Local Events[1].

The King's Royal Festivals[edit]

These events were His Majesty's largest functions. Held once a year (in Spring), they are hosted at a hotel in Central Florida, these are three days long and include special events (such as a private parties at Orlando's Wet 'n Wild water park) and concerts. These events have a charity component, being used to support various of King Elliott's Favorite Charities. In recognition of their role in building community, these events also include a space for artisans to display and sell their wares. Advance registration is required.

Elliott's Spring Gathering[edit]

  • Elliott's Spring Gathering 2007 was held on April 28, in Winter Garden, FL.[2] There were 130 attendees, with over 40 fursuits. King Elliott provided soft drinks and dinner for all his guests.
  • Elliott's Spring Gathering 2008 was held on May 9 - May 11 in Celebration, FL.
    • Hosted at the Radisson World Gate Hotel for $75/night
    • In addition to the standard activities provided, King Elliott hosted a private party for his guests at Orlando's Wet 'n Wild water park on Friday, and a concert by Rosie Ledet and the Zydeco Playboys on Saturday evening.
    • Over 20 furry artisans participated in Elliott's Spring Gathering's artists' and dealers' room, including: Artdecade, Cooner, Gideon, Kahmari, Koda, Likeshine, Marci McAdam, Meesh, Painted Dog, Redic Nomad, Seel, Silver Fenrir, Solid Asp, Spunky Wulf, The RGHU, among others.
    • Guests attended from all over the world with a group of 3 attending from Perth, Australia.
  • Elliott's Spring Gathering 2009 was held on May 29 - May 31 in Celebration, FL.
    • Hosted at the Radisson World Gate at rate of $45/night for the first 45 rooms and $60/night for all others.
    • Special activities for this event included private parties at Orlando's Wet 'n Wild water park and Kissimmee's Fun Spot USA.
    • This year's event benefited Conservators' Center, Inc., a North Carolina Animal Rescue and Education foundation.
  • Elliott's Spring Gathering 2010 was held on May 21 - May 23 in Celebration, FL.
    • Hosted at the Radisson World Gate at a rate of $60/night.
    • The event was $15 in advance ($25 at the door) for all three days including all special events. Individual days were more expensive as King Elliott wished to encourage participation by guests in the entire event.
    • Special events included Go Karting and Miniature Golf (with lunch included) at Fun Spot USA on Friday, Breakfast on Sunday and a private party at Wet 'n Wild (including dinner).
    • This year's event benefited Conservator's Center, Inc., a North Carolina Animal Rescue and Education foundation.
  • Elliott's Spring Gathering 2011 was held on May 20 - May 22 in Celebration, FL[1].
  • Elliott's Spring Gathering 2012 was held on May 18 - May 20 in Orlando, FL.
  • Elliott's Spring Gathering 2013 was held on May 10 - May 12 in Las Vegas, NV[3].
  • Elliott's Spring Gathering 2014 was held on May 09 - May 11 in Las Vegas, NV.
  • Elliott's Spring Gathering 2015 was held on May 08 - May 10 in Lake Buena Vista, FL
    • Special events included King Elliott renting out an entire hotel floor to host themed parties in every room[4], a poolside brunch on Sunday[5], and free access to the Grand opening of the Orlando Eye Ferris Wheel, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and Olrando Sea Life Aquarium[6].
  • Elliott's Spring Gathering 2016 took place over May 6-8 in Las Vegas, NV.[7][8].

Elliott's Summer Celebration[edit]

  • Elliott's Summer Celebration 2007 was held on August 18, starting at 2:00 PM Eastern Time. 188 guests attended from over 15 states, as well as Australia.[9] Over 50 fursuiters attended (quite a surprise given that it was held outdoors in August in Florida).
  • Elliott's Summer Celebration 2008 was held on August 9 - August 10. This event took place over two days, and included Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast.
  • Elliott's Summer Celebration 2009 was held in August of that year.
  • Elliott's Summer Celebration 2010 was held on August 7 - August 8[10].
  • Elliott's Summer Celebration 2011 was held on August 6 - August 7[1].

The King's Castle Cotillions[edit]

While smaller than his Festivals, King Elliott's Castle Cotillions are still quite impressive. Held at his Castle in Central Florida, these take place every fall and winter. His Majesty provides a full gourmet lunch, dinner and breakfast, as well as a video arcade, dance floor with DJ, artists' lounge, and a headless lounge for fursuiting guests. While open to all, these are more targeted to guests in the local area. Advance registration is required.

Elliott's Winter Carnival[edit]

  • Elliott's Winter Carnival 2007 was held on January 13.[11] There were 60 attendees, with over 20 fursuits. King Elliott provided soft drinks and dinner for all of his guests.
  • Elliott's Winter Carnival 2008 was held on January 12 - January 13. As with Elliott's Fall Festival, the event took place over two days, and included three meals. In spite of bad weather, 198 guests attended.
  • Elliott's Winter Carnival 2009 was held on January 17 - January 18[12].
  • Elliott's Winter Carnival 2010 was held on January 16 - January 17[13].
  • Elliott's Winter Carnival 2011 was held on January 22 - January 23[1].
  • Elliott's Winter Carnival 2012 was held on January 21 - January 22[14] and had 222 registered attendees[15].
  • Elliott's Winter Carnival 2013 was held on January 26 - January 27[16].
  • Elliott's Winter Carnival 2014 was held on January 25 - January 26[17].
  • Elliott's Winter Carnival 2015 was held on January 31 - February 01[18] and had over 350 registered attendees.
  • Elliott's Winter Carnival 2016 was held on January 30 - January 31[19].

Elliott's Fall Festival[edit]

  • Elliott's Fall Festival 2007 was held on October 20 - October 21. With 151 guests from around the U.S., this two day party featured lunch and dinner cooked by Orlando's own Ty-yen as well as Volleyball, Badminton, Movies, an artists' lounge and a video arcade.
  • Elliott's Fall Festival 2008 was held on October 25 - October 26.
  • Elliott's Fall Festival 2009 was held on October 31 - November 01.
  • Elliott's Fall Festival 2010 was held on October 23 - October 24.
  • Elliott's Fall Festival 2011 was held on October 01 - October 02[1].
  • Elliott's Fall Festival 2012 was held on October 27 - October 28.
  • Elliott's Fall Festival 2013 was held on October 26 - October 27.
  • Elliott's Fall Festival 2014 was held on October 25 - October 26[20].
  • Elliott's Fall Festival 2015 was held on October 31 - November 01[21].
  • Elliott's Fall Festival 2016 was cancelled

Local events[edit]

His Majesty has also hosted events at Comic Con[which?], Fanime, BayCon (one of the oldest Science Fiction Conventions) and many other conventions.[citation needed]
