The dust has settled on yet another Eurovision year, and normality is resuming along the streets of Copenhagen. And already the eyes of Eurovision-fans look towards the next hosts, Austria. A decision on the host city is expected to be made around June/July. But for those of you who are getting withdrawal symptoms, then do not fear. There's a new contest coming to Project Eurovision. "What contest is this?" - I hear you say... it's only the bloomin' Intervision Song Contest 2014. And for those who may be missing the sights of Sochi after their hosting of the 2014 Winter Olympic & Paralympic Games... you're in luck, as they are the host city of the contest. The Soviet rival to Eurovision is making a comeback after a 34-year hiatus. How the new format will take shape is yet to be known, but no doubt that details will be flooding the internet between now and when the contest takes place in October.
May we also ask for assistance on a bit of general housekeeping throughout the 5000 articles that we currently have. A lot of them have become neglected and could do with being brought up to scratch, and if possible their quality ratings increased. There are a few listed (below-right) to give you a start. However, our maintenance report shows an increase of over 800 articles that are in dire need of some attention from you lovely caring Wikipedian's.
Remember to maintain a teamwork atmosphere, it is that which makes us one of the most efficient projects on Wikipedia. And also be on the look out for potential new members to the project. Post {{subst:EurovisionInvite}} (which will produced this template) on any user's talkpage who you think may be interested in joining our WikiProject.
As you may have noticed, both the slimline delivery report and full versions of the project newsletter have received a slight tweaking of improvement.
The design of the delivery report has become more condense and features a new "Did you know...?" section, which we hope will educate you with facts and trivia that you may or may not have known about the wonderful world of ProjectEurovision. Also if you hover your cursor over the coloured symbols (next to the statistics) it will tell you what the increase/decrease figure it.
A new way in how the project will handle the 'other countries' section on annual ESC/JESC articles has gained consensus support. Please make sure you familiarise yourselves with the new procedure.
