This topic seems to fail WP:GNG. The article is mostly unreferenced and the only section of note is 'in ufology' - but that's just a fork of what this already at George Adamski and Nordic aliens. What remains is a poor fork of the (now being rewritten) Venus in fiction. Note that the Earthlings article was recently AfD and redirected to Earth in fiction (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Earthling). I suggest a redirect to Venus in fiction, which can briefly mention that fictional inhabitants of Venus are called Venusians and cite a few works, just like the written Earth in fiction GA article does now (ideally the etymology section could be sourced and rescued too). PS. Old AfD from 13 years ago, no consensus. Old Merge from 10 years ago, no consensus: Talk:Venusians#Merger_proposal. New merge proposal from last year, stalled: Talk:Venus_in_fiction#Merge_lists_from_Venusians. Also note I boldly removed the mostly unreferenced trivia lists of 'works that mentions Venus/Venusians', per the consensus related to recent AfDs and rewrites of numerous articles related to Template:Astronomical locations in fiction that such lists are not appropriate and are to be replaced by prose analysis (per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Earth in science fiction (2nd nomination) and others). - Comment - If the outcome is a consensus to remove this content, please plant a redirect to Venus, where the term Venusian is used as an adjective rather frequently. This is a plausible search term separate from the science-fiction concept. --EEMIV (talk) 12:52, 17 December 2021 (UTC)
- I would argue that Venus in fiction is a better redirect target, since Venusians (with an s) are a fictional topic. -Jason A. Quest (talk) 16:36, 17 December 2021 (UTC)
- Venusian is a disambig already. Venusians, with an S, probably refers only to the fictional inhabitants? Do correct me if I am wrong. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:53, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
- Yeah, "Venus in Fiction," sure -- that's what I meant to say. --EEMIV (talk) 13:55, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
MergeRedirect to Venus in fiction as a WP:ATD. The portrayal of Venus in fiction includes Venusian aliens.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 16:07, 17 December 2021 (UTC)- Redirect to Venus in fiction. Merging can be done if needed, but it looks like most of the actual non-fringe reliable sources are mostly being used to support that lengthy section on George Adamski, and is already covered on his own article. I would disagree with EEMIV with using Venus as the target, as the actual noun Venusians (with the "s" at the end) actually isn't used in that article, and the adjective Venusian, which is, is already a disambiguation page that correctly directs to the article on the planet. - Comment: While I would normally support a merge to Venus in fiction, it should be noted that some actual religions, in particular Happy Science, feature Venusians as an integral part of their creation mythos, so I'm thus not sure if Venus in fiction is a completely appropriate target. Curbon7 (talk) 21:54, 17 December 2021 (UTC)
- Venusians in religion may need a separate article; if it is created with RS then plausibly Venusians could be converted into a disambig between it and Venus in fiction#Venusians (if such a dedicated section is created; or just the main article if not since it's a given the term will be mentioned in the body). Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:55, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
- Until it is shown as anything close to science fact, it is still fiction. And no widely recognized non-cult religion uses Venusians as an integral part. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 01:41, 24 December 2021 (UTC)

- Merge to Venus in fiction, as above. Deathlibrarian (talk) 02:40, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
- Comment. I have started to rewrite the Venus in fiction article into something that resembles a proper analytical entry, and I created the Venus_in_fiction#Venusians section, so the redirect is totally plausible. But I am not sure there is anything worth merging, considering that the only referenced content in our article is about ufology/religion (granted, one can see religious texts as fiction, just like ufology actually, but what we have here is still very short and poorly referenced IMHO). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:26, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
