Indications towards WP:PROF but not enough to be convincing and doesn't meet WP:GNG. After 12 years in CAT:NN, hopefully we can resolve this. Boleyn (talk) 20:35, 6 September 2021 (UTC)

- Weak keep. He has a strong citation record and a few book reviews but it's mostly due to his editorship of a book on the strengths perspective in social work, a theory for which his wife Ann Weick (about whom we don't have an article) deserves the bigger share of the credit. —David Eppstein (talk) 04:54, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- @David Eppstein:, Ann Weick is now blue but stubby.--Eostrix (🦉 hoot hoot🦉) 08:40, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- Keep per PROF-C1. Strong citation record, including this article where he is sole author with over 4,000 citations. This book, after his death, says he is "known as the father of the strengths perspective". This 2019 book has biographical entries for both Weick and Saleebey, and extensive coverage of their work. There is an entry in the Encyclopedia of Social Work. Unlike many other academics, GNG is actually plausible here.--Eostrix (🦉 hoot hoot🦉) 08:09, 7 September 2021 (UTC)

- Keep per WP:Prof#C1 and also for his wife Ann Weick, thanks @Eostrix:. --hroest 09:27, 8 September 2021 (UTC)
