Welcome to Wikipedia from WikiProject Medicine!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia from WikiProject Medicine (also known as WPMED).
We're a group of editors who want to improve the quality of medical articles here on Wikipedia. I noticed that you are interested in editing medical articles, such as your edits to the article Macular degeneration; it's great to have a new editor on board. In your wiki-voyages, a few things that may be relevant to editing Wikipedia articles are:
- Thanks for coming aboard! We always appreciate a new editor. Feel free to leave us a message at any time on our talk page. If you are interested in joining the project yourself, there is a participant list where you can sign up. Please leave a message on the group's talk page if you have any problems, suggestions, would like review of an article, need suggestions for articles to edit, or would like some help!
- Sourcing of medical and health-related content on Wikipedia is guided by our medical sourcing guidelines, commonly referred to as MEDRS. These guidelines typically require recent secondary sources to support information. Primary sources (case studies, case reports, research studies) are rarely used, especially if the primary sources are produced by the organisation or individual who is promoting a claim.
- The Wikipedia community includes a wide variety of editors with different interests, skills, and knowledge. We all manage to get along through a lot of discussion that happens behind the scenes and through the editing policy. If you encounter any problems, you can discuss them on an article's talk page or post a message on the WPMED talk page.
Feel free to drop a note on my talk page if you have any questions. I wish you all the best, and thank you for your help! Zefr (talk) 00:36, 27 October 2024 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for July 15
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Hereditary multiple exostoses, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Extremity. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Mpox
[edit]Thanks for your edit on Diagnostics on the Mpox page. Well thought out and carefully phrased. But I think it would be better placed somewhere else. ..... it doesn't describe a diagnostic method or technique, it's more of a news item, showing an aspiration rather than an achievement.
It could possibly be moved into the Mpox epidemic article, where it would illustrate the efforts to contain the outbreak. Or maybe as a Research topic in the current page.
What do you think? Bob (talk) 13:51, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
- I agree. Let me move it. Thank for the feedback Bob Trex32 (talk) 15:25, 31 August 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Zzzs. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ZZZ'S 22:48, 11 October 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello - welcome to medical editing on Wikipedia. I reverted your edits because gene therapy is only in development for which there are no WP:MEDRS reviews showing efficacy. Your edits fall under WP:CRYSTAL as a possible future use. Good luck! Zefr (talk) 00:35, 27 October 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Malur R. Narasimha Prasad, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Hello
[edit]I'm looking for a couple of people who could lend a hand on a small project. Wikipedia:WikiProject Medicine is trying to get at least one ref into every medicine-related article. The list is getting shorter, but we've still got a bit more than 100 to go, and the Wikipedia:WikiProject Unreferenced articles/Backlog drives/November 2024 ends in just less than a week. If you could add a source to even one or two of them, it would really help us out. Here's how to help:
- Pick an article from the list. I can see that you've done more serious medical content, but most of them are organizations, people, or other subjects that do not require any specialized medical knowledge, so it would hopefully be pretty easy.
- Find at least one reliable source and add it to the article.
- Remove or update any maintenance tags at the top of the article.
- Edit the list to mark off the item or leave some notes about it so the next person will know that this one is done. (Try editing the page in the visual editor, because it's much easier for tables.)
- That's all!
Also, if you ever need help with medicine-related articles, please feel free to put Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Medicine on your watchlist, and to join the discussion whenever you'd like. Thanks, WhatamIdoing (talk) 23:10, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
