Hello. Concerning your contribution, Alfonso Noel Lovo, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.last.fm/music/Alfonso Noel Lovo. As a copyright violation, Alfonso Noel Lovo appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Alfonso Noel Lovo has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

Please read above, you cannot paste copyright text. The article also lacks independent verifiable sources either for the content or the spammy claims made Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:48, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Alfonso Noel Lovo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Although you say there were articles that might establish notability, there are no references in the text you posted. If you look at. say Lily Allen, the article has 180 references, yours has none. It is not sufficient to say that there was a mention in the newspaper, you need to give a date and title and web link to enable verification Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:53, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
There is nothing to stop you recreating with your references included, I don't think the page is protected. Put them in the article like this <ref>reference details</ref>, and at the end have a References heading followed by {{reflist}} Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:38, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tigreman! I've noticed that you restored information about Alfonso Noel Lovo on the page Category:Nicaraguan composers. A category page is not the right place for writing biographies. Please note that the category pages are not intended to substitute article pages. If you believe that the composer is notable enough to have his own Wikipedia article and you have credible sources that support your belief, then start a new article about him. In either case, please, remove the composer's biography from the aforementioned category. Thank you. Iohannes Animosus (talk) 17:05, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As mentioned above, category pages are not the proper places for biographical information. I reverted what you wrote not because it was improper, necessarily - I didn't read enough to judge it on its merits. I reverted because it does not belong in category space.

There's nothing preventing you recreating the article in article space - it's not blocked. However, please look at WP:RS before doing so. If you can find the proper sources for recreating the article, I'll have no objection, and I'm sure others won't, either. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 14:37, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No - you're putting it in category space again. To edit the article, don't put it in Category:Nicaraguan composers manually - don't edit that page at all. Create it in article space - if you want to, you can follow this link to do it - with references, and go from there. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 08:26, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Alfonso Noel Lovo has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

can't find anything on this musician. 47 unique Ghits, none relevant outside mirrors and commercial sites

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
