Welcome!

Hello, The Country Girl, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Jamie Davis & Soul Gravy, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard. Thank you.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. A tag has been placed on Jamie Davis & Soul Gravy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Introductions and countries

[edit]

Please stop adding the year of introductions to the anime/manga articles. Only Naruto Uzumaki was shown in the one-shot, while there is no reliable source stating in which year was a character introduced.Tintor2 (talk) 00:53, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Air Bubba has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non-notable radio show, apparently aired only a few weeks

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Dravecky (talk) 10:38, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited The 3rd Birthday, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Horror (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi CG, Do you have a rs ref for d.o.b? She mentioned her wp page from the stage at a recent concert and corrected her birth date from the stage (thanking us for making her younger). thanks Hugh (talk) 16:31, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a reliable source reference for Abigail Washburn's birthday? Thanks, Hugh (talk) 19:43, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your reply. I don't have a reliable source reference for Abigail Washburn's birthday, either. However, I and a few hundred others heard her comments from the stage at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago, in which she stated her birth year as 1977, and thanked Wikipedia for making her younger. So until we find a reliable source, can we leave it at that? What do you think? Hugh (talk) 19:57, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article Noel C. Bloom has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. ∫eb² 1(talk) 18:23, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sid Salter, Supertalk Mississippi

[edit]

Hi. Three years ago (diff 2012-04-01), you changed the target of personal redirect Sid Salter from Supertalk Mississippi (which lists him among personalities) to The Clarion-Ledger (which does not mention him). I have not checked old versions of the two target articles.

The page is in categories American radio personalities and American newspaper editors. Perhaps The Clarion-Ledger is or was the newspaper or one of them. You may know that the newspaper affiliation is correct and more important, but the newspaper article needs to show the affiliation before that redirect target is appropriate.

The U.S. Library of Congress identifies one "Sidney L. (Sid) Salter" as "publisher of The Scott County Times in Forest, MS." That is suggestive but not decisive and I found it only at VIAF 186996702 where the link to that Sid Salter's Library of Congress record is broken (select "Authority/Source Record"). Maybe you can help.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Nomination of The JT Show for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article The JT Show is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The JT Show until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Bearcat (talk) 07:05, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article Noel C. Bloom Jr. has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable actor / basketball coach.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
