[edit]Hello! I'm Dieter Lloyd Wexler. Your recent edit(s) to the page List of Grand Prix motorcycle races appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been reverted for now. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. I don't know where u got the number 1,014 Dieter Lloyd Wexler 16:58, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hey Dieter Lloyd Wexler! I just counted all the GPs using excel. If you add up the numbers by both race title and host nation you get 1014. The same number comes up if you add up all the GPs listed in races by season. I realise now in hindsight that maybe the article doesn't only consider 500cc/MotoGP races, but other classes as well. But yeah, that's where I got 1014 from anyway. Cheers! TehRYNOL (talk) 17:59, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- "I just counted all the GPs using excel." Even if you're right, that counts as WP:OR and shouldn't be here. MotoGP says the 1000th event is 2023 Le Mans, and if you count from there until Valencia, it's 15 races, so you're wrong anyway. Dieter Lloyd Wexler 18:20, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- Dieter Lloyd Wexler, I mean we both started counting from somewhere in that case, just you started from 2023 Le Mans and I started from 1949 Isle of Man. But yeah I think you're right and I was mistaken regardless. Thank you! :) TehRYNOL (talk) 20:56, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
