RD talk page
[edit]Hi Sluzzelin. Not sure what's going on with the RD talk page at the moment. First a bot archived the two most recent discussions, but not the one about medical advice because it had a "do not archive" tag slapped on it for some reason. You rightly deleted that tag, but now the medical advice discussion is still there but the two more recent discussions are not, which doesn't look right. What can be done about this? - Seas, Viennese Waltz! Looking at the history page, I see lowercase sigmabot III archived those two threads on January 27, a bit more than a week after the last person had added anything to these discussions (as the bot should, I think, though I'm sure one could adjust the length). It was today, quite a bit after that archiving, that I removed the 'do not archive until 2038' tag. I'm guessing the next time the bot looks at WT:RD (by tomorrow), that thread will get archived too. If not, I can always archive it manually. But I don't think my removal of the tag has triggered anything, so far. --Sluzzelin talk 17:06, 9 February 2021 (UTC)

Navigating through template dates
[edit]Hi, I saw your reply on In The News. The way I find blurbs on a certain date (and this works for pretty much every page) is to go to the View History, press "Older ..." (just to get a longer URL), and you get something like this:
By changing the offset= date (20210526 is the date, I don't know what the rest of the numbers are), you can then see the lastest revisions as of that date. So to get to 26-10-2019 I replaced those first few numbers with "20191026", and to get the later version I just put it a few days ahead.

Outward Spiraling Paths

- Hey Difficultly north, thanks for stopping by. The blurb is just fine. I did have something else in mind for the start though, namely, only to fill in cell FF (by random article). The next three separate moves should then occupy the other three paths' starting points (FG, GF, GG), and those three words may or may not associate with adjacent cells, may or may not be chosen randomly, or can even be any old word the editor feels like putting there. From then on (i.e. starting with the fifth word) the normal rules apply.
- This is how the first grid started: First I started it with the randomly selected Dapitan, then someone added "Captain" (by association), someone else added "Tea" (completely arbitrarily because they are fond of tea), and then a third person added "List of California State University, Fullerton people" (probably by means of the random article button).

True origin of polenta

- If you wish to introduce such a dramatic change to an article on a locally defined dish that had been re-invented within its local tradition, like many dishes (and it's not a particularly complex dish either), then you should add sources saying exactly what you wrote about polenta. If you wish to discuss it, then you should do this at Talk:Polenta, not here.
