Thank you
[edit]Hey, Sam. I just want you to know that the things you're writing on our common friend's page are appreciated. If they edit again without even trying to do anything about the points you're telling them about, it'll be time for a CIR block. Bishonen | tålk 21:26, 16 November 2024 (UTC).
- Hejsan, Bishonen. Thanks for keeping an eye on this. I wish they were responding, but I doubt they will. There's something almost amusing about a ChatGPT-reply that includes the wording "my primary focus was on copying the exact lines from the source material to ensure accuracy." when the opposite is the reality. But good on ChatGPT to accidentally produce a blurb implying that they violated copyright or closely paraphrased. :-) Best, Sam Sailor 06:25, 17 November 2024 (UTC)

[edit]ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:26, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
Hi Sam, please note that your edits to the above AfD have been reverted by the article creator. You may not have been notified as it looks to have been a manual revert. This removal makes a big difference as it's now 3 vs 3 on keep to delete rather than 4 vs 3. I also note that the user continues to make unfounded accusations of discrimination based on ethnicity and religion. This user's behaviour is getting close to WP:ANI imho. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 06:42, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
I also felt that your source analysis was important as it highlighted the fact that the sources were all false. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 06:44, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, Spiderone, many thanks for taking care of that. I suspect that there might be socking going on, and I will mention you in an SPI shortly. All the best, Sam Sailor 08:38, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- Many thanks for sorting that so quickly. I can see that it's already been dealt with too! Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 17:49, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- Not at least thanks to Girth Summit who took the case. Let's keep both the article and the draft on our watchlists just in case it gets recreated. I have archived the article here. Sam Sailor 05:23, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- No problem - you wrote a very clear report and made it easy for me. Girth Summit (blether) 22:25, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
