RE:jaycar

[edit]

I extended the article briefly focusing on jaycar a bit much. I have added some bad points about jaycar. Have a look at it and change it --Adam1213 Talk 15:16, 24 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Richmeister, while I agree with your assessment that the page Melbourne Cup Day is a hoax, I'd suggest redirecting it to Melbourne Cup rather than deleting it; actually, the page was originally a redirect. I'll do that if noone objects, as mentioned on the talk page.

Victorian images

[edit]

Many thanks for your recent upload of images from central Victoria ,in particular, images of select locations in and around Bendigo, Victoria. One thing I was impressed by was your photograph of Bendigo Prison, almost replicating the exact same shot some 140 years later, as seen in this photograph. Was the shot planned, or a pure accident of genius? Good work. -- Longhair 09:28, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps our friends back in 1861 had similar reasons :) Thanks a million. Keep 'em coming, though I don't expect any shots from inside in a hurry ;) -- Longhair 09:47, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleaning up vandalism

[edit]

When you revert vandalism, as you did at Holden Commodore, please make sure the version you revert to is clean. The version you reverted to stated, in the first paragraph, that the Commodore is steam-powered. -- Narge 13:48, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why should I

[edit]

Why should I refrain from editing, I have had that message sent to me already by that guy and already told him that none of those spam rules apply to me. Maybe you should block the other guy from editing repeatedly using the three-revert rule for undoing my edits.

Your as bad the real police nit picking on motorists when the murders are still at large. Have you seen the other music genre related pages there are multiple website links on multiple genres, and have you removed those links or sent them a message, I doubt it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.77.169.224 (talkcontribs)

Actually.....

[edit]

I have not been warned numerous times by numerous editors, I have been told to dicuss the link with people on the talk page by two editors, you and another guy. Who the heck ever looks at the Hardcore Techno talk page anyway? I have been arguing with a guy who I know has a grudge against the site for the past week. Which might I add one of the editors only sent me a warning because the other mardy guy sent him a message about it.

The link is a great link for Hardcore Techno fans thats why I have wrote it in the edit summary, so do not go throwing the spam card out willy nilly. How on earth you can come to the conclusion of me saying "Great site for Hardcore Techno fans" is spam I have no idea. I have not broken any of the spam rules. I have not spammed multiple music pages, I added the link ages ago and no one has been bothered until the guy who has a grudge against the site kicked up a stink about it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.77.169.224 (talkcontribs)

So now you start spamming the happy hardcore page instead? http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Happy_hardcore&diff=prev&oldid=87344654 21:55, 12 November 2006 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.42.98.242 (talkcontribs)

pics

[edit]

Dear Richmeister,

thanks for the Monaro and Commodore pics; I put them to good use in my corresponding articles on the German WP. --- Could you by any means be kind enough to take some more Commodore pictures? There´s an awful lack of them in Commons, and for obvious reasons I can´t do it myself. Falcon pics would be welcome as well...and Ute pictures of any kind...

Lotion Play

[edit]

Hi,

just wanted to check about the edit you made to lotion play; it seems to be a question of whether there are reliable sources... just wondering what I have to do to establish that it exists- the lotion links at the bottom of the article seem proof enough to me, but here are some more which weren't included as they are commercial sites; for example here is a page selling lotion as described in the article: http://www.e-nls.com/pict2-2642-1

here is an english language site page selling it:

http://www.jlist.com/SEARCH/"lotion_bath"/1/

here is the page for a company which produces lotion dvds (adult content):

http://www.av-opera.jp/works/-/list/=/article=genre/id=6/

here is a japanese english language site's lotion play dvd page (note the use of the word lotion-play to describe the category)

http://www.squareplus.net/ItemDvd.aspx?sgenre=127&subcontent=2

finally, if you check wet and messy sites (for example the forums at ultimate messy directory) you will see lotion play is frequently featured

(I've also posted this in the talk page on lotion play) Urso 14:38, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your photos at Robe, South Australia. I haven't been to Robe since I was a wee 8 year old. While the town still looks the same, the lighthouse looks very different indeed. Modernised perhaps... -- Longhair\talk 09:19, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I think I'm confused with the Cape Jaffa Lighthouse. If you ever get over to Kingston SE, some local images of that town would be fantastic. Thanks again. -- Longhair\talk 09:21, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disenchanted

[edit]

Why is this article fancruft? It explains how MCR changed the song drastically from before when it was known as "Shut Up And Play", and has useful information on the story of The Black Parade. You can't just call something fancruft because you might not care for the band. I remind you of WP:NOT#PAPER. If we can have a page for every character in a non notable Japanese manga or have an article for every Pokemon, then surely we can have an article about a song from a band with 1 Platinum and 1 Gold album that has a following from around the world and who's lastest album holds a place on many music publication's Best Albums of 2006 lists. If you would like to comment please leave a note at my user page or at Wikiproject My Chemical Romance. Thanks. Mcr616 20:37, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Brazilian Royalty

[edit]

I thought all royalty was considered N, and so I've been declining to delete. If the article is trivial, then i think the best course would be an expand tag. --but if you think otherwise, we could discuss it at AfD. DGG (talk) 02:17, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sideboob

[edit]

That sentence is already {{Fact}} tagged, and the term sideboob has already conspicuously credited to Family Guy on Wikipedia. Please can you give the people who care about this stuff — which doesn't include me — time to document that this thing is "mistakenly" credited to Family Guy? Otherwise it's just going to be added repeatedly as a neologism, or used to prop up serially re-created, marginally retitled List of Family Guy neologisms articles — that's the part I'm concerned about. / edg 20:56, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding edits to Photo sharing

[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Richmeister! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule photobucket\.com, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links guidelines for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Quick note on speedy

[edit]

I removed two speedy tags you put on Henry S. Harper and Karl Howell Behr and wanted to say why. They did survive the Titanic, and I'm pretty sure that meets notability and would argue the same. In any case, I think AFD would be where to take it since at the least, it is argueable. Pharmboy (talk) 03:01, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Joey's Side Project

[edit]

I was just curious as to what nominates the album for deletion. Yeah ,it's nameless, but I'd like to know why else. It has a source and everything. If you'd get back to me as soon as possible on my talk page... Dark Executioner (talk) 17:06, 18 November 2007 (UTC)Dark Executioner[reply]

  • Hey Dark, I also chipped in with Delete on this one, with the reasons listed. At this stage, the article is just too weakly sourced and is a rumor. No name, 'possible additions' without sources is against the crystal ball policy. It may never happen. Sorry, but its on the wrong side of the threshold. It might be a part of an existing article (although weakly sourced) but can't be an article by itself quite yet, and there isn't really anything to "learn". Disputed fair use rationale for Image:MFB Logo.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:MFB Logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 13:36, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request to move article POWERade incomplete

[edit]

You recently filed a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves to move the page POWERade to a different title - however your proposal is either incomplete or has been contested as being controversial. As a result, it has been moved to the incomplete and contested proposals section. Requests that remain incomplete after five days will be removed.

Please make sure you have completed all three of the following:

  1. Added {{move|NewName}} at the top of the talk page of the page you want moved, replacing "NewName" with the new name for the article. This creates the required template for you there.
  2. Added a place for discussion at the bottom of the talk page of the page you want to be moved. This can easily be accomplished by adding {{subst:RMtalk|NewName|reason for move}} to the bottom of the page, which will automatically create a discussion section there.
  3. Added {{subst:RMlink|PageName|NewName|reason for move}} to the top of today's section here.

If you need any further guidance, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Requested moves or contact me on my talk page. - JPG-GR (talk) 18:51, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Bendigo-Tornado-2003.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 07:24, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons: File:MICA Ford Territory.jpg

[edit]

File:MICA Ford Territory.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:2004-2009 Ford SX-SY Territory TX AWD (Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance) 01.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:2004-2009 Ford SX-SY Territory TX AWD (Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance) 01.jpg]]. License tagging for File:PuTTY S60 screenshot.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:PuTTY S60 screenshot.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 12:05, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Richmeister, I had placed the Woolworth cat on the Australian articles some time ago because they were namesakes of the F. W. Woolworth Company. When Caldorwards4 removed that cat, I only re-added them after reaching consensus with him. But, in talking with Bidgee, it made sense to create a new Category:Woolworths Limited cat specifically for the company. Sound reasonable?RevelationDirect (talk) 01:21, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Neil Comrie, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Metropolitan Fire Brigade (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Orphaned non-free image File:Metropolitan Fire Brigade (Melbourne) (logo).png

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Metropolitan Fire Brigade (Melbourne) (logo).png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 08:51, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
