I notice that one of the first articles you created was Draft:Prodyut Kumar Deka, which appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Prodyut Kumar Deka

(Born : 18th April 1978) Independent Film Director from the North-East State of [[1]] ([[2]]). Prodyut Kumar Deka is a Law Graduate from [University] in 2006 and currently works in Assam Secretariat. However, his passion is films. His first feature film ‘[TIRUTABUR]’ (Beautiful Woman) based on a fading film actress and released in January 2009, won the State Film Award for the Best Director in 2010. His second feature film ‘[BARUA AHI ASE]’ (The return of Samiran Barua) based on the backdrop of the extremist problem of the state was selected for the [Kolkata International Film festival, 2012]. His third film ‘[[3]]’ (A sunset), based on the psychology of a child neglected by parents, won much critical acclaim. His recent project is a suspense movie ‘[[4]]’ (The trap) released in 18th April, 2014.

Prodyut Kumar Deka

Prodyut Kumar Deka is a filmmaker of the North-East region (India) since 2002.Born in 18th April, 1978 in Guwahati, he graduated in Commerce (2000) and Law (2006) from Guwahati University and presently works in the Assam Secretariat since 2010.

After directing Serials for television, he made his debut in film as Writer & Director with “DhuniaTirutabur” (Beautiful Woman),on the backdrop of a lost artiste, which received 3 State Film awards including the Best Director award in 2010. His next film on a political subject “SamiranBaruaAhiAse” (Return of SamiranBarua) was official entry in the 18th Kolkata International Film festival in 2012.

His other films include “Surjasta” (A Sunset), on the subject of child negligence anda suspense drama “Borosi” (The Trap). He was Co-Scriptwriter of the films “Olong” (Strangers in the Mist), which received the National Award for Best Rabha Film in 2015, and “Naam Nothoka Cinema” (Film without Name).

Besides films and television, he is also actively associated with the stage as Director of plays like “Moni Kanchan” written by Badal Sircar and translator of several world famous plays like “The Monkey’s Paw”, “A Sunny Morning” and “Lithuania” etc.

Since 2002, he has also been writing regularly on Cinema in the local weekly and daily newspapers like Sadin, Asomiya Pratidin and Asomiya Khabar. His first published book is “Amar Kotha Teolokor Kotha” (About Us, About Them), an anthologies of 31 essays on diverse facets of Indian and foreign films in 2014.
