- I've been hassled by SandyGeorgia to remove talk page clutter all this time. Are you paying for Wikipedia Premium? Le Panini [🥪] 00:18, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
- I was asking Lee how to do it earlier and he was like, a bot'll come along and do it soon, hahaha. Next time one of us finishes up a PR, let's determine the truth with the ol' scientific method

DYK for Paper Mario: Color Splash
On 11 January 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Paper Mario: Color Splash, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Paper Mario: Color Splash was accidentally playable two weeks before its launch? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Paper Mario: Color Splash. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Paper Mario: Color Splash), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

DYK for Paper Mario: Sticker Star
On 12 January 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Paper Mario: Sticker Star, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the developers of Paper Mario: Sticker Star de-emphasized a proper story because fewer than one percent of players found the plot of the previous game interesting? Mario RPGs topic
Hey @Panini!: I noticed that you are currently working on turning all the Mario RPGs into GAs/FAs and the list into an FL. In your peer review for the Mario RPGs list, I noticed a topic that would probably fail immediately if it was submitted for GTC. I'm working on fixing these articles as well, and I have a great suggestion on the topic should actually look like! KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 17:13, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
- @KingSkyLord: My plans were to promote the Paper Mario series to good topic, hence my current GA nomination and plans for FLC. As such, I currently have no intentions involving the Mario & Luigi series and others. The reason I'm helping out at Superstar Saga is from a request at WP:VG. With this in mind, the topic is looking like this:
- To do
- Refresh Paper Mario to meet current GA standards
- Refresh Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door to meet current GA standards
- Promote Super Paper Mario to GA
- Promote List of Mario role-playing games to FL
- Completed
Also, I see no evidence that you have recently edited one of these articles. I would like to hear your thoughts, though. Panini🥪 18:19, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Panini!: The reason why there are no recent edits on the Paper Mario articles is because I am very busy working on political and sports articles (and also real life stuff) at the moment. I was working on turning Super Mario 3D World into a GA like five months ago, but I completely stopped doing that for some reason. A Paper Mario (series) article probably will not be created anytime soon (same for most of the other small spinoff series) and it won't be that easy either. So we can put all of the Mario RPGs to one topic. Give it a few weeks (probably by the end of March) and all of them could become GAs at least. I also think Super Smash Bros. Ultimate could easily become a GA. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 00:49, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

FA
Hi Panini, I was wondering when you're going to leave comments for Mood Swings at FAC? I'm in no rush but Pop Smoke's one year anniversary of his death is on February 19, and I really want the article to become FA before it passes. The Ultimate Boss (talk) 04:31, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
- The Ultimate Boss, Yep, it's on my today-to-do list. After I review Microsoft Flight Simulator, I'll get to your FAC.
- Also, a couple of comments before I begin.
-
- You already have a couple of supports. Don't back down now! It'll most likely make all the FAC delegates and regulars frustrated. FAC requires commitment. Don't take this note the wrong way; only good intents from everybody. FAC is one of the hardest things to do on Wikipedia.
-
- Before the article can be promoted, it needs an image and source review. This might take a while because nobody likes doing it. I'll leave a message on the talk page in hopes somebody will do it. Due to my lack of experience in this field, I can't do it myself, but hopefully, someone else will.
-
- I wish I could promise the article will get promoted by February 19, but there's a very little guarantee. To make it up to you if it doesn't, however, you can nominate it for WP:TFA if the article is promoted. I'll help you with the process after the FAC if you would help.
- Best of luck, Panini🥪 12:39, 2 February 2021 (UTC)

To be honest, I've never seen these in use. To notify somebody in a much easier way, I'd use the ping template. Here's how it works:
Before you leave a reply, put this:

Bisexual video game characters
I saw your comment on the deletion discussion of the List of media portrayals of bisexuality page. While I disagree with you there (I support a merge with a bi characters list page and changing the page to a redirect), I think what you are saying about video game characters, that "they give you the option of being in a relationship with either man or woman because they have no way to determine either what your gender or preference is" is a good point, and agree that in those cases, "it would be the player being bisexual, not the character or game." I'll keep that in mind when updating the List of video games with LGBT characters page. --Historyday01 (talk) 17:04, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
- Historyday01, I don't mind the page being redirected, it's just that thought didn't come to mind. Panini🥪 17:30, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
- I created the List of fictional bisexual characters last year, so I'm moving some of the entries there, but that video games page needs some work, which I'll try to get to at some point in the coming year. I am glad that a new page for bisexual characters in television was created too, which is great, as well, springing from a recent splitting apart of the formerly named "List of LGBT characters in television and radio" (now it only focuses on radio and podcast characters). --Historyday01 (talk) 17:34, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

WikiCup 2021 March newsletter
Round 1 of the competition has finished; it was a high-scoring round with 21 contestants scoring more than 100 points. Everyone with a positive score moves on to Round 2, with 55 contestants qualifying. You will need to finish among the top thirty-two contestants in Round 2 if you are to qualify for Round 3. Our top scorers in Round 1 were:
- Epicgenius led the field with a featured article, nine good articles and an assortment of other submissions, specialising on buildings and locations in New York, for a total of 945 points.
- Bloom6132 was close behind with 896 points, largely gained from 71 "In the news" items, mostly recent deaths.
- ImaginesTigers, who has been editing Wikipedia for less than a year, was in third place with 711 points, much helped by bringing League of Legends to featured article status, exemplifying how bonus points can boost a contestant's score.
- Amakuru came next with 708 points, Kigali being another featured article that scored maximum bonus points.
- Ktin, new to the WikiCup, was in fifth place with 523 points, garnered from 15 DYKs and 34 "In the news" items.
- The Rambling Man scored 511 points, many from featured article candidate reviews and from football related DYKs.
- Gog the Mild, last year's runner-up, came next with 498 points, from a featured article and numerous featured article candidate reviews.
- Hog Farm, at 452, scored for a featured article, four good articles and a number of reviews.
- Le Panini, another newcomer to the WikiCup, scored 438 for a featured article and three good articles.
- Lee Vilenski, last year's champion, scored 332 points, from a featured article and various other sport-related topics.
These contestants, like all the others, now have to start again from scratch. In Round 1, contestants achieved eight featured articles, three featured lists and one featured picture, as well as around two hundred DYKs and twenty-seven ITNs. They completed 97 good article reviews, nearly double the 52 good articles they claimed. Contestants also claimed for 135 featured article and featured list candidate reviews. There is no longer a requirement to mention your WikiCup participation when undertaking these reviews.
Remember that any content promoted after the end of Round 1 but before the start of Round 2 can be claimed in Round 2. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is a good article candidate, a featured process, or something else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews.
If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to keep down the review backlogs! Your GA nomination of Super Paper Mario
The article Super Paper Mario you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Super Paper Mario for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Jaguar -- Jaguar (talk) 11:42, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
Striking out comments
Hello. I noticed in your recent FAC that you made this (I will be striking through completed concerns so I don't break paragraphs and make this very lengthy) and I would highly encourage you not to do this. It is discouraged to not edit other people's comments, and this includes striking out other people's comments. It could annoy editors, and the decision to strike out comments should be kept with only the original poster. I just wanted to let you know this now before it causes any issues. This is something that I have noticed in other FACs so I would again strongly encourage you to not get into the habit of messing with reviewers' comments (unless they explicitly give you the permission to do so). Aoba47 (talk) 23:40, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
- Aoba47, Well then, did not know this was something frowned upon. I'll go back to doing "done" then, Panini🥪 00:11, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
- I just wanted to let you know. A good rule of thumb would be to not edit other people's comments in any way (i.e. striking them out, collapsing them, etc.). It is just not a good idea anyway, and I do not think that is a good solution to addressing length issues. Aoba47 (talk) 02:32, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
DYK for Paper Mario
On 6 March 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Paper Mario, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Paper Mario series was changed from role-playing games to action-adventure games because the developers found it to be too similar to Nintendo's other role-playing series, Mario & Luigi? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Paper Mario. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Paper Mario), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Thank you for that GA, and best wishes for the FAC. I took the liberty to adjust some of your indenting there, according to Wikipedia:Colons and asterisks, please check. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:17, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
- Gerda Arendt, Thank you, Gerda, it means a lot coming from you. Panini🥪 21:55, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
- It's insane on how you made a good article about every paper mario game. It would be awesome if you made Mario a GA also, since paper mario, a character itself is that. 180.194.138.138 (talk) 10:05, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
Super paper mario featured article.
Hello Panini, today an article you authored and submitted was featured on the front page. Congratulations!
This might have already been touched upon, so feel free to redirect me to any previous answers if so.
Are you in any way related to any company related to the development or publishing of the featured videogame? Do you have any other Wikipedia accounts,or is this your first one?
Please don't take these questions personally, it's just due dilligence.
Kind Regards!--TZubiri (talk) 17:53, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- TZubiri, I'm not related to the company in any way besides being a fan. I would have declared COI a long time ago, believe me. Panini🥪 18:01, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
FLC
Hey bro. It's been a while since we last talked. I was wondering if you could leave some comments for the Pop Smoke discography at FLC? I would really appreciate it! The Ultimate Boss (talk) 17:56, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
Thank you
Hey bro. I want to thank you for everything you have done to help me with throughout my time on Wikipedia. I really do appreciate it and hope you are doing well during these difficult times. 💫💫💫 The Ultimate Boss (talk) 09:32, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
- The Ultimate Boss, Much appreciated, and good luck with your FAs, I was considering reviewing Pop Smoke Discography, but it's mostly just tables and there isn't much to say about them. That leaves the refs, and I'm not experienced enough in that field to leave bold suggestions. Panini🥪 16:33, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
- That is totally fine. I’m sorry to ask... But I was wondering if you could leave some comments for the "Cups (song)"? The nomination is dedicated to my love on who passed away from covid. I really want this article to be FA before I graduate high school in June and head to college. The Ultimate Boss (talk) 03:16, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- The Ultimate Boss, Yeah, I'll leave some comments, but not immediately, though. I'm not sure why nobody is supporting after you address their claims, so don't let that get you down. Stay persistent, even through the source review (I wanted to quit PMTOK during my source review, trust me, it's worth it). Panini🥪 17:18, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

You can disable your proxy/vpn and wait 24 hours; that should allow you to edit. If you are unable to do so, you can apply for an IP-block exemption which is explained at WP:IPBE. The block placed by that administrator is definitely not aimed at editors in good standing like you (thanks!), and I'm sorry this is affecting you. --Yamla (talk) 13:46, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
- I have granted you WP:IPBE for ten days. This should give you an opportunity to determine if you can disable your vpn/proxy or, if not, make a formal request under WP:IPBE. I see no reason why you wouldn't qualify for a longer duration IPBE; I'm granting a short duration only because your request was made over email, and because I hope there's a way for you to disable your vpn/proxy. :) To be clear, I would expect the reviewing admin to grant you IPBE for perhaps a year if it turns out to be necessary, unless they see something I've missed. Sorry for all the hoops you've been jumping through. I now expect you can sign in and edit any page you wish, while being unaffected by your prior block. Please let me know if that's accurate. --Yamla (talk) 15:07, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
- Yamla, No worries. Thanks for your help! Panini🥪 15:36, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
Trade
Hi Panini!, I see Paper Mario is in the older nominations section. Would you be interested in a review trade with me for my Die Hard nomination? It's not had any activity in a few weeks and I'm a bit confused tbh given it's one of the best action films ever! If you're interested let me know, and I can get to reviewing your article by the weekend. Thanks. Darkwarriorblake / SEXY ACTION TALK PAGE! 22:09, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
Sure! I won't be able to do it today, but maybe tomorrow. I'm assuming the article isnt getting much attention because the only top reviewers we have only care about medical content, wars, ships, and billiards. Panini🥪 Panini🥪 23:58, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
- And extensive themes sections about how randos think a film is about some abstract concept like pollution or undiscovered tribes in a deep forest somewhere. Darkwarriorblake / SEXY ACTION TALK PAGE! 11:22, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
TFL notification
Hi, Panini!. I'm just posting to let you know that List of Mario role-playing games – a list that you have been heavily involved with – has been chosen to appear on the Main Page as Today's featured list for April 19. The TFL blurb can be seen here. If you have any thoughts on the selection, please post them on my talk page or at TFL talk. Regards, Giants2008 (Talk) 20:17, 26 March 2021 (UTC)

G1ing the Main Page
I noticed your CSD nomination for a certain page that doesn't take kindly to being deleted. I think that merits this:
Whack! You've been whacked with a wet trout. Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know you did something silly. |
