P.S. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you need help with anything or simply wish to say hello. :)
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Sam Spade (Software), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Sam Spade (Software). You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Why don't you rename me? The reason why I want to be renamed is that I want to have the same Wikipedia version I'm registered. --Franc000 (talk) 14:00, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Agnapostate/NYRA
[edit]I am interested in your claim that Agnapostate is a member of the National Youth Rights Association. Because - er.. despite making some reasonable edits he does appear to be a throwaway account in the POV-troll tradition of pedophilia article editing. If this is just something he said, he is almost certainly having you on. forestPIG(grunt) 09:11, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
- At last check, he's got 7,050 posts on the NYRA forums. MaxHarmony (talk) 19:24, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
- Well, if this is the case - I would suggest that he has been mistaken for a pedophile (sympathiser). There is a great deal of paranoia surrounding the issue of reincarnations of banned accounts, and this also goes onto decisions regarding blocks. forestPIG(grunt) 14:17, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi. As you recently commented in the straw poll regarding the ongoing usage and trial of Pending changes, this is to notify you that there is an interim straw poll with regard to keeping the tool switched on or switching it off while improvements are worked on and due for release on November 9, 2010. This new poll is only in regard to this issue and sets no precedent for any future usage. Your input on this issue is greatly appreciated. Off2riorob (talk) 23:41, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
Do you have a reference for your addition to this page ("the genitals")? Is it something you've personally encountered? DTLHS (talk) 07:52, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
IP block
[edit]MaxHarmony (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I use a private proxy (my own VPS) to avoid sniffing/analysis when using public or otherwise insecure wifi networks. While my VPS's IP (178.63.126.57) is not an open proxy, the IP range as a whole is blocked as an open proxy. rDNS will confirm the IP is associated with the host vps.maxh.me.uk; WHOIS lookup will confirm I am the registrant for this domain. I am willing to provide any other evidence asked for (within reason) to confirm this is not an open proxy. MaxHarmony (talk) 03:57, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
Decline reason:
These days, blocks of web host ranges are sometimes marked with 'webhostblock' to clarify that no actual open proxy needs to be found. It seems unlikely to me that the webhostblock will be lifted. You would be better off asking for IP block exemption, which you could try at WP:Sockpuppet investigations#Quick CheckUser requests. When you do so, specify the block message that you see. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 19:45, 13 April 2013 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
MaxHarmony (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
As above, with clarification that I am requesting an IPBE, not really an unblock per se; the block message specifies that this template is the appropriate way to do so. (Since my user talk is the only page I am not blocked from editing, even absent such suggestion there'd not be much other option.)
Decline reason:
Most editors create a valid alternate account and link them together appropriately to overcome insecure wireless/network issues. IPBE is not used to grant access through connections that Wikipedia considers problematic (✉→BWilkins←✎) 10:09, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- It appears that you have a choice of IPs to use, since you have been editing articles today with this account. The next passing admin is unlikely to grant you IPBE without consulting a checkuser. The practice regarding IPBE has tightened recently. It would probably save you time if you use your functioning IP and go over to WP:SPI as I recommended above. Wiki Loves Pride 2014
[edit]Hi Max. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Wikipedia, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See Wiki Loves Pride 2014 for more information. If you are interested, you might consider creating a page for a major city (or cities!) near you, with a list of LGBT-related articles that need to be created or improved. This would be a tremendous help to Wikipedia and coverage of LGBT culture and history. Thanks for your consideration, and please let me know if you have any questions! --Another Believer (Talk) 18:29, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
You are invited to participate in Wiki Loves Pride!
- What? Wiki Loves Pride, a campaign to document and photograph LGBT culture and history, including pride events
- When? June 2015
- How can you help?
- 1.) Create or improve LGBT-related articles and showcase the results of your work here
- 2.) Upload photographs or other media related to LGBT culture and history, including pride events, and add images to relevant Wikipedia articles; feel free to create a subpage with a gallery of your images (see examples from last year)
- 3.) Contribute to an LGBT-related task force at another Wikimedia project (Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wikivoyage, etc.)
Or, view or update the current list of Tasks. This campaign is supported by the Wikimedia LGBT User Group, an officially recognized affiliate of the Wikimedia Foundation. Visit the group's page at Meta-Wiki for more information, or follow Wikimedia LGBT on Facebook. Remember, Wiki Loves Pride is about creating and improving LGBT-related content at Wikimedia projects, and content should have a neutral point of view. One does not need to identify as LGBT or any other gender or sexual minority to participate. This campaign is about adding accurate, reliable information to Wikipedia, plain and simple, and all are welcome!
If you have any questions, please leave a message on the campaign's main talk page.
Thanks, and happy editing!

[edit]- Question: How'd you do the Keybase proof at User:MaxHarmony/KeybaseProofTest? I didn't think Keybase did Wikipedia profile links.

Recent edit to Muff, County Donegal
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Muff, County Donegal, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Form 1099-NEC moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Form 1099-NEC, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. [edit]Hello, MaxHarmony. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Form 1099-NEC".
