Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Alex Brosque, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on File:JordyBuijsSFC2017.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on Charles Lokolingoy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for Deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discusion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Thank you for catching that Sydney FC (W-League) has updated their logo; however, you're going to need to upload a version of the women's team logo (see their Twitter account) as non-free content if want to use a different logo in the article. The men's logo File:Sydney FC Logo.svg cannot be really be used for identification puproses in the Women's team's article per item 17 of WP:NFC#UUI since . If you're not sure how to upload the file yourself, you can ask for help at WP:MCQ, WT:NFC or WP:FFU. It would help if you can find a clean version of the file to upload. I'll look for a better version as well, but I can't do so at the moment. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:03, 18 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This file can probably be uploaded as non-free content and then added to the article. You just need to make sure that you provide a proper copyright license and a valid non-free use rationale. You can probably use {{non-free logo}} for the former and {{non-free use rationale logo}} for the latter if you want. If you're not sure how to upload a file you can find information at WP:UPLOAD or you can ask for help at any of the pages I linked to in my previous post. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:26, 19 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
There's no really good reason to replace the women's team logo with the men's team logo. The former is perfectly OK for primary identification purposes and its non-free use complies with WP:NFCCP; the non-free use of the latter in the women's team article, however, doesn't per WP:NFCC#8, WP:NFCC#10c and item 17 of WP:NFC#UUI. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:23, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That just isn't their logo though - they share the same badge as the men's team. Even then, that badge used on the page currently with the blue background is from a fan-run twitter account made by a fan. It isn't their badge. --Legit khajiit (talk) 22:24, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I've moved your post from my user talk page to here so as to keep everything in one place. If it's not an official logo, then I agree that it shouldn't be used. However, the logo for the men's team still shouldn't be used in the women's article because such a usage is not considered to be acceptable per Wikiepdia's non-free content policy as I previously posted above. Even if they might use the same logo, the parent entity in this case is considered to be the men's team, and a logo specific to the women's team should be used instead for the women's article; if no such logo exists, then the default is not to use the men's logo. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:34, 30 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
