Salam!
I think your are correct, we should split current list into two sub-lists; one for living ones & one for dead ones.
Was'salam!
--Sayed Mohammad Faiz Haidertcs 06:41, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
- I think list of deceased Maraja should be kept on the same page while we can make seperate list list for earlier ulema(mujtahids, faqih, etc).Sayed Mohammad Faiz Haidertcs 06:57, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
- What do you mean by Muharram Mubarak. --Sayed Mohammad Faiz Haidertcs 13:29, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry! but we don't use term mubarak (for wishing Muharram) as mubarak is used at time of happiness to give tidings & take it as insult to mourners & mourning of Muharram. --Sayed Mohammad Faiz Haidertcs 18:32, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
As-Salamu 'Alaykum akhi Isa,
May I ask, are you Azeri?--Theverdict111 (talk) 01:02, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Oh I see, Mashallah. I noticed you said 'Muharram Mubarak', and I have only heard Azeris say that lol. Which part of Turkey are you from? And who do Turkish Azeris do taqlid off?--Theverdict111 (talk) 03:30, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Don't worry akhi, I'm sure akhi Faiz will be ok once he realises it is just a culteral thing. Inshallah. Also, I am from Bahrain.--Theverdict111 (talk) 07:12, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- No I am Usuli. Although some of my family are Akhbari, most of us do taqleed of Sayyid al-Sistani.--Theverdict111 (talk) 21:20, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
As'Salam Alai Kum!
I'm sorry for my aggressiveness priorly, actually you caught me off-guard when you used term Mubarak with Muhar'ram Al-Haram actually since last few years Nasibis in Indian Subcontinent have started to say Muharram Mubarak, Naya Saal Mubarak(Happy New year), etc primarily to tease ahl-e-shia. And in Urdu Mubarak is used for both Blessed & Happy but when you wish somebody we use term Mubarak. You may be astonished to know that we here don't say salam to each other & shake hands from shab-e-ashura to sham-e-ghareeba'n and keep a fa'qa on day of Ashura. For twelve days i.e. from 1 to 12 we don't even apply oil & perfume. And mourning starts from 29 Zil'Hij'ja evening to 8 Rab'il'aw'wal i.e. 70 days and during these days we don't celebrate anything no Marriages, no Birthdays, no Anniversaries, no celebrations, no parties & even don't give mubarakbad to each other even if there is birth or something which would have created atmosphere of great joy in normal days. We don't buy new goods(except bare essentialities like food etc) do'nt wear new clothes do not wear colours of joy & celebrations (i.e. Red, Yellow & their varients & other flashy colours & embroideries) women do'nt wear jewelery & ornaments & don't use lipsticks etc. Although all these things in no way are part of religion but they have binded very heavily with mourning culture of Indian Sub-continent.
I'm sorry if my aggressiveness on this matter hurt you which I think made you at-least very concerned.
I have updated List of maraji's deceased list please have look on it. It needs enhancement & updations.
Looking forward for your cooperation & assistance.
Was'Salam!
