U5
Hi E Wing. Thanks for taking the time to tag inappropriate pages for deletion. However, you've been a bit... over-zealous in some areas, and so I'd like to ask you to slow down a bit with the deletion tagging and consider whether the encyclopedia is really being improved by your actions.
You've tagged a large number of userpages using the new U5 criterion. This criterion specifically permits anything which is allowed under WP:UPYES, which would include things like quotations and mottos ("A small and proportionate amount of suitable unrelated material"), editing tests ("Experimentation") and short autobiographies ("Limited autobiographical content"). It's designed to allow easy removal of blatantly unsuitable userspace pages like games, fake Big Brother simulations (you'd be surprised how popular those are), blogging and forum hosting, not to allow the systematic deletion of any userpage that doesn't mention Wikipedia itself within the first three line. Please try to be a little more circumspect in using this criterion - since it's relatively new, not everyone is familiar with it yet. Consider the perspective of the first-time user who joins Wikipedia, sees that they can (and in fact, are encouraged to) create a userpage, and pops their favourite quote in there as a placeholder, only to get a message two minutes later saying that they've broken the rules and now their page is being deleted. Would you want to stick around in that sort of environment?
I certainly don't want to knock your excellent work elsewhere in the CSD field, but I think with this particular criterion, you should probably rein yourself in a bit. Cheers, Yunshui 雲水 08:34, 13 June 2014 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: User:Protocrat
Hello E Wing. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:Protocrat, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not WP:NOTWEBHOST, just a short userpage. Thank you. kelapstick(bainuu) 11:38, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
ALYB
Dear E Wing,
I do not understand why the ALYB entry is being suggested for "speedy deletion" do to presumed usage of the space as "advertising". My understanding of the rules is that I, the owner of ALYB, cannot post information on the Trademarked brand because I have a relationship to it. However, I'm stuck in the middle in that I do not want the page taken or used in a manner contradictory to what it is so I've tried to "reserve" it. My only sentence is similar to the wikipedia page for "FUBU" which is also a brand and states it's acronym defined. Would you please tell me what I CAN enter on the page to give information for those seeking it without it looking like "advertising" to you?
Thank you, Aaron — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.133.239.100 (talk) 03:16, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
- No need for that, the speedy deletion has been declined. And I believe you can post information on that brand even you have relationship to it, but it must be neutral. Cheers. E Wing (talk) 03:31, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion - User:Veale Wasbrough Vizards/draft
Hello E Wing,
Veale Wasbrough Vizards/draft was recently marked for 'speedy deletion' due to being 'blatant advertising'. I was quite shocked by this as I had used other solicitors wiki pages as a template, such as DAC beachcroft. I wasn't quite finished adding in references but thought that would be OK as still in the draft stages, but I have taken some information from the webiste - so maybe that is why it was advertising? I am still new to adding articles so any assistance/tips would be great.
Many thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.100.221.66 (talk) 10:50, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
RFA Nomination
Howdy, I would like to nominate you for Adminship. There has been a significant divide in the admin requirements and I feel that you may be more than suitable for the Mop. If you would like to accept this nomination, please let me know so I can complete the process. Nakon 06:10, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
