Thanks for your recent edits. (No buts, I really mean it: Thanks for your recent edits.)
I noticed that you've changed a number of dates from, for example, (1938–1939) to (1938–39), and was wondering why? Pdfpdf (talk) 13:01, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
Yes, I've also noticed you have changed hyphens to n-dashes - but that's not what I'm talking about. BTW: Thanks for changing the hyphens into n-dashes. Pdfpdf (talk) 13:01, 4 October 2013 (UTC)

  • Hi Pdfpdf - that's the date range format recommended by the MoS (see WP:DATE#Longer_periods) "A closing CE or AD year is normally written with two digits (1881–86) unless it is in a different century from that of the opening year, in which case the full closing year is given (1881–1986)". Well there you go! (You learn something new every day.) Thanks, Pdfpdf (talk) 16:15, 4 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Chiêm Hoá District, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vĩnh Lộc (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Kellie Loder

Hi Chris,

Thank you for clarifying your edit on my talk page. I see your point and have removed the reference to David from the article.
