Restore C. R. Bard to my User subpage?
Hey CM- I saw you were the deleting admin. on the G11 speedy of C. R. Bard. Since it is a S&P 500 company, I was going to take a shot at un-spamming it. Could you restore the version you deleted, with history, to a subpage of mine User:UnitedStatesian/C. R. Bard? Thanks. UnitedStatesian (talk) 18:26, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

WP:PROD
I draw your attention to the following part of WP:PROD;
- If you do not agree that the article should be deleted without discussion you can do the following things:
- 1.Remove the dated prod tag from the article, noting this in the edit summary. Editors should explain why they disagree with the proposed deletion either in the edit summary, or on the article's talk page.
(bolded) This part was not adhered to, therefore the prod removal should be considered vandalism. As a consequence, it was not a contested prod. !! Justa Punk !! 04:09, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- That's a suggestion, not a requirement. --Closedmouth (talk) 07:50, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

P.Mauriat deletion
Hi Closedmouth
Why was the P.Mauriat page deleted? Wizzardmk6 (talk) 06:52, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Stephen Collier (Musician) re-open
Hello their
Is it possible to re-open Stephen Collier (musician) please due to the fact he is a musician looking to make it big in his nation yet worldwide. The page was deleted and we are clueless to why as it was unfinished. Wikipedia is a perfect place for him to place his biography because of so many request into the background of Stephen’s life growing up which cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. Also it is a perfect place to advertise Stephen’s web pages and links to his music, tour dates and latest news
Cheers

Deletion of Physics page
Recently I created a Physics page, which was nominated for speedy deletion. On the deletion page I was allowed more time to wait for a new jounral of Phyics to come out. However, I may be wrong, but it seems you came along and deleted this page without warning. This is obviously very annoying for me because, as you may not realise, it takes a bloody long time to write out the equations. Can you offer some kind of reasoning for this, or did you simply try and massage your ego and delete a page on a respected scientist who, jusst because he is not American, is not getting any recognition? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anterior1 (talk • contribs) 21:08, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, well, first of all, I didn't delete your article, so I don't know what you're doing here in the first place; and secondofly, I don't appreciate this accusation that I get some kind of ego boost out of deleting articles on clearly unimportant people. What a scurrilous, low-down dirty scumbag I would have to be for such a thing to be the truth, my goodness. And the implication that I'm American? Outrageous! I will have you know that I am highly offended by this. What a truly awful thing to say. --Closedmouth (talk) 14:24, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Ancient Roman Education Reflections
Hello Closedmouth! I have re-read the criteria and I understand the change over from speedy to proposed. I initially thought that since the article was purely about the individual (in essay form) that there is no way that can possibly be made into an article (basically what happened to him from primary school to university/college studies with no indication of actually anything happening). Thanks for keeping an eye out and making sure everything is in order!Calaka (talk) 08:23, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Deletion of 'Cherryland, Estonian Pop Group'
The criteria for this page's deletion makes no sense to me - there are thousands of pages in the Wiki that include information on lesser-known bands, places, and people, and yet they remain online without contest. Cherryland is a popular band in Estonia, and it's impossible how I'm supposed to prove that "the subject is important or significant" beyond that. The Wiki should not exist in some box to glorify both popular & unpopular entertainers from the US & the UK, but it's here to provide information on a global scale, and is highly lacking in foreign music. I want to change that, but not if my pages are going to be deleted under some flimsy rule. I encourage you to restore the page, although I'm sure all I'll get is some slap-in-the-face reply. Dreams (talk) 16:49, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
- I have to agree with Closedmouth here. I have reviewed a copy of the last revision of the article before it was deleted and there are no cited references or sources. I have researched Cheeryland and had a hard time finding reputable sources which could be used in an encyclopedia. I found some sites in Estonian (which, sadly, I don't speak) and so couldn't tell if they were reliable for promoting the notability of this band. I did find some digital downloads available but then I can find those for any number of non-notable bands around the world. Dreams, if you feel you can establish notability for this band, perhaps you could work on a page in your Sandbox and have someone review it before porting it to the main article space. Cheers, ChaoticReality 06:01, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Dear Mystery person, You were good enough to make a Chunklet page - then you deleted it? 1. May I ask who you are and why you felt the urge to create such a page in the 1st place? 2. Image redirect deletion
A book, The Best American Science Writing 2007, has a link to two images printed in it, en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Phanerozoic-Carbon-Dioxide.png and en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Phanerozoic-Climate-Change.png. Those images are really located at Commons as, File:Phanerozoic Carbon Dioxide.png and File:Phanerozoic Climate Change.png respectively. I couldn't find any policy, so I created the original names as a redirect so people with the book could find the correct title. Since you deleted the redirects, is there something else I should do instead? -- kenb215 talk 23:27, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I'm not sure that such strong language will actually reduce drama there; you're far more likely to increase it. May I suggest you revisit it and tone it down a little? I'd appreciate it, thanks. --Dweller (talk) 12:54, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
Thank you
Thank you for helping me clear the autoblock - as you can see it is lifted. However, I do want to know why I was blocked, what I did wrong, and how to avoid these problems in the future.
Thank you Rkr1991 (talk) 13:42, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hello ? Are you there ? Rkr1991 (talk) 13:50, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I thought I explained that pretty clearly to you already. --Closedmouth (talk) 07:20, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- No, I still don't get it. I don't understand why I was blocked in the first place; what made the bots assume mine was an "Open Proxy", or a "Zombie Computer" ? Rkr1991 (talk) 12:59, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Thank you. My ISP decided to share my supposedly unique IP. I am asking them today to give me a new one. Thanks again. Meishern (talk) 18:22, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
Speedy Deletion of Andreas Klamm
Hi there!
The article was previously deleted by a speedy deletion. Sorry if I did not note the difference. However, the original reasons for speedy deletion were not countered. I cannot access any original article, but the deletion of a talk page:
- 04:52, 22 June 2009 Enigmaman (talk | contribs) deleted "Talk:Andreas Klamm" (G8: Talk page of a deleted page)
sugegsts that the original article was deleted previously. However, a few days later the article appears again:
20:28, 29 June 2009 Ibsliberty (talk | contribs) (29,479 bytes) (←Created page with '{{Infobox Radio presenter | name = Andreas Klamm | image = FunkCorner5.jpg | imagesize = | caption = Interview with Oliver Althaus and Andreas Klamm...')
Original reasons for deletion were: user lbsliberty is likely the subject of the article itself as it is the name of the radio show by Andreas Klamm. So this is likely a self-promotion article. The article is needlessly long and uses excessive bold-face reminding of spam. Encyclopaedic nature is not observed.
The alleged Andreas Klamm is German, yet no article in the German wikipedia exists. This makes this overly long article all the more suspect with strong doubts on the notability of this person.
Most importantly, this article is a direct copy of the page http://andreasklamm.wordpress.com/about/
Thanks for taking your time with this.

- I've taken it to AFD to ensure that, if deleted, future recreations can be deleted as G4. And if someone turns it into a decent article, all the better. Ta. --Closedmouth (talk) 12:32, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
I disagree with the "credible" part of your claim, but I'll nominate it for AfD. Just extra work, it will get deleted. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 17:34, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- Fine with me. --Closedmouth (talk) 12:41, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
Hi, I see you deleted Cottonseed Oil Assistance Program as a copyright infringement. I'd appreciate it if you could take another look at that page -- I created the page using public-domain content from the hyperlink below (i.e. original work by the Federal government), and I included that hyperlink in the "references" section of the page. If Corenbot identified this as an infringement of another website, I assume it's because THAT website copied from the Federal government source as well.
Thanks.

- The link I was given, http://www.webref.org/agriculture/c/cottonseed_oil_assistance_progra.htm has a copyright tag at the bottom, and no indication that the page itself is public domain or free to reproduce. I didn't realise that the page copied the text wholesale from the glossary, I thought it was a rephrasing. Restoring. --Closedmouth (talk) 12:39, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
speedy deletaion of "french conversation inhalation"
I've added this article in true faith. I am new to Wikipedia. I can not understand exactly what is wrong with the article. Can somebody point me to the issue(s) that were not conforming to wikipedia rules. Thank you Arnon57 (talk) 08:25, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure you just made the whole thing up. Google agrees. --Closedmouth (talk) 07:23, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
I understand where you are coming from. I can not find any reference to such thing on Google (I assume this is the “Google Agrees” following you remark). I live in France (Pas De Calais) and encounter this almost daily. It would be fascinating still to analyse this issue, from a social point of view, to find out if, in our day and age, if one can not find reference for something in Google, it does not exist. I remember when I used to tell my wife, after meeting someone with “severe” case of this phenomenon that he probably suffers from some sort of Asthma. But after, I think, 50 persons we encountered with this phenomenon over the years, and from far and wide as Normandy, and from all ages and genders, I believe it does exist. But I do not mind you deleting the item. Testing this Wikipedia was just for fun, seeing if I can “educate” the world… Arnon57 (talk) 07:48, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
I now understand that what I was trying to explain might fall under Pulmonic ingressive. Arnon57 (talk) 18:40, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

- No, that's fine, I just deleted the (empty) local version, the Commons image is still there. Thanks for the message though. --Closedmouth (talk) 08:22, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for blocking 121.127.204.143. I was going back and forth with them for a while. I really need to learn to do templates and vandalism escalations. Ulric1313 (talk) 07:44, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

what
was the difference between The Eight Gate and this for example? : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabian_Ranches --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 11:14, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- The Eighth Gate was purely promotional guff, written like a press release. Arabian Ranches isn't written like that. --Closedmouth (talk) 07:27, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi. I saw you deleted an article on BLCS. I think it deserves an article on Wikipedia [3]. Please restore and give some time to improve it. Thanks. Zitterbewegung Talk 13:40, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
speedy deletaion of "Michael J. Trout profile"
If you were even remotely competent you would have found this 1998 article in the Montgomery Advertiser and this is him on the cover of 1996 Tallahassee magazine article "9 who made a difference" -- Before deleting contact the author or make a notation on the page asking for reference. Btw, there is significantly more media written on him in the Tallahassee Democrat and Break Magazine. —Preceding unsigned comment added by H0riz0n (talk • contribs) 01:46, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
