[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in Kakuzu and hidan, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 02:28, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Kakuzu and hidan
[edit]A tag has been placed on Kakuzu and hidan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - To follow up on the above, I deleted the above for copyright concerns. While it appears at least part of it has been collected from Wikipedia itself, any copy from material from other Wikipedia articles needs to be attributed - that is, linked back to the original article, at least through a mention of the original article in the edit summary of the new one, and a mention in an edit summary of the original article that content has been copied to the new article. Ideally, you would also place the {{Copied}} template on the talk page of both articles.
- Failing that, such copying is a copyright infringement (see WP:Copying within Wikipedia for further information) and is not permissible, which is the reason why the article was deleted.
- If you're trying to build lists of episodes where a lot of content is already available in each episode's article, the best would be to rewrite summaries of your own and link back to the article of the full episode directly. This makes it more legible, and also avoids having duplicate information all over the place.
- If you need any help, you can create a new section on your talk page and add {{helpme}} followed by your request below it, someone will be along shortly to assist you. Alternatively, you may also leave me a message on my talk page. Best regards, MLauba (talk) 11:03, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
