The article A Mile in His Shoes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
WP:NEXIST. Google of main character's name "Mickey Tussler" shows only 97 results, none of which are suitable secondary sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. voorts 20:49, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Voorts: You're notifying me because... ??? ButlerBlog (talk) 23:49, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
- You were one of the last editors, and I wanted to notify you as a courtesy. In any event, the PROD was removed and I've now nominated the article for deletion. voorts 17:39, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Voorts: Thanks for the courtesy - that's much better than the alternative ;-) However, if you look at the line(s) of my edits, you'll notice the AWB tag. That shows that it's an edit via AutoWikiBrowser, which is a tool for making automated bot-like edits to 1000s of articles. Anytime you see that tag for an editor, you can safely assume that they really are not looking at or familiar with the actual article itself. Most of the time they're just cleaning up the same thing across a large number of articles. In this instance, it was part of a run of any article using the television infobox that had a deprecated parameter that was being removed, and this just happened to be one of the 30k that used it. So I have no knowledge of this particular article. (This is just an FYI for future ref and hoping it helps you in the future - but when it doubt, notifying is better than not, so no worries there) ButlerBlog (talk) 18:38, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely keep an eye out for those kinds of tags in the future. voorts 18:51, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
