Updating player statistics

[edit]

I noticed that you updated some player statistics for San Lorenzo footballers. It is good that you are giving your time to update Wikipedia articles. Could I just ask one thing, can you make sure to alter the pcupdate parameter when you change the stats so that it is clear when the stats are valid from (like this). Speedy deletion of Le Chic

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Le Chic, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TorstenGuise (talk) 13:49, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I didn't see it in time, I can't really do anything now because I'm not an administrator. Perhaps you could politely raise the issue with Orangemike who deleted the article. You could ask him why it was deleted and what kind of information or sources you would need to include to allow the article to be kept. All the best EP 21:45, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Read WP:MUSIC. You stated nothing to indicate that these people are in any way notable. Non-notable performers don't get articles. --Orange Mike | Talk 00:29, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Nikita Burmistrov, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Krylia Sovetov and Russian Cup (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Kostrok requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi, when you update the stats in football players' infoboxes please remember that you should also update the |pcupdate= (or |club-update=) parameter. Edit summaries, multiple consecutive edits

[edit]
  • Please make a habit of providing an edit summary when you make a change to an article. Doing so makes it easier for your colleagues here to understand the intention of your edit.
  • Plus, it will be easier for you and your co-editors to collaborate on articles if, instead of making multiple consecutive edits in rapid succession on an article, you use the "Show preview" button to view your changes incrementally before finally saving the page once you're satisfied with your edits. This keeps the page history of the article less cluttered.

Thanks in advance for considering these suggestions. Eric talk 00:19, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Josh Parker. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Mattythewhite (talk) 14:43, 1 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You have just committed in somewhere close to 100 footballer articles. When you created Footballers from Alicante (city), you populated the category with footballers but didn't remove the same footballers from People from Alicante city category which their pages were all categorized from. You did similarly with the other footballer categories you created by not removing Valencian footballers. It is overcategorization to have sportspeople in both People from and Sportspeople from a place. So are you going to now fix all these articles?...William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 20:57, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, sorry, I'll fix it. I'm already working on it

Also letting you know

[edit]

There have been multiple CFDs (Categories for Deletion) here are just six of them- here[1], here[2], here[3], here[4] here[5], and here[6] at least, where it has been decided that we do not categorize Sportspeople from a place, by the particular sport they play. Please note the one in bold, that involved Moscow and I see you just created two Russian footballer city categories. Your new category creations all stand a excellent chance of being deleted....William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 22:47, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Bupasival. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, UD Melilla 1943, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Ways to improve Soto de San Esteban

[edit]

Thanks for creating Soto de San Esteban.

A New Page Patroller SkyGazer 512 just tagged the page as having some issues to fix, and wrote this note for you:

I might be completely missing something, but it doesn't appear that the provided source mentions anything about this village. If that is the case, could you please provide a different reference that supports this information? If the information is on a subpage of the linked page, change the source to go there instead.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can reply over here and ping me. Or, for broader editing help, you can talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Venta Gaeta moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Venta Gaeta, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. [edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Laciana, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Orallo. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:11, 28 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
