Template:Infobox settlement

I noticed that you added the flag icon in the fields for "subdivision_name" on the Leavenworth, Washington article. Please note that Wikipedia consensus is that the flag icons should not be used within those fields, which is why the examples for the template at {{Infobox settlement}} explicitly state not to use flags in those fields. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 04:26, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say a bot should go through and fix this everywhere as I can find thousands of cities doing it wrong ATM. NCAA football rankings template

I really like the template you designed. I have a comment, though. Due to quirks of the calendar, not every season has the same number of weeks. See the 2004 season for example: 2004 NCAA Division I-A football rankings. That year, we would need to have 17 columns (preseason, weeks 1-15, and final ranking). Also, due to periodic changes, when the Harris Poll is released changes some years. In 2009, the Harris poll came out in Week 4 (2009 NCAA Division I FBS football rankings).

Would it be possible to make the template flexible to deal with these quirks? The 2013 season will once again need 17 columns. And who knows when the Harris Poll will change again. Nice work on {{NCAA Division I FBS football rankings}}. Is there a chance that it could be generalized for basketball (and possibly other sports) and for cases when you only have one poll? I.E., could you make it so that something like the following resulted in a valid template?

  3. Add a ref field so that I can add a reference to the row heading.

CBSB Standings

Ben, thanks for your work on the CBSB Standings, it's something I've had in the back of my mind for a while now, getting tired of converting from CBB to CFB as soon as there are ties! I added ties to the two required templates, and I see already that they work on two current year templates - {{2012 Southwestern Athletic Conference baseball standings}} and {{2012 Southern Conference baseball standings}}. Problem with length templates you edited...

All eight of the Str Letter and Str Number templates that you added the example with a reference to (either directly or by transclusion) now include the message "Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page, but the references will not show without a {{Reflist}} template or a <references /> tag". Please change your examples to remove this. My suggestion would be adding nowiki tags outside the ref tags on the right hand sides, but I'm fine with changing the example from using <ref> to another tag. Regarding your comment, the good reason was that the use of a non-free logo in an annual article such as a team's season is a violation of our non-free content policy. Wiki Loves Pride

You are invited! Wiki Loves Pride

You are invited to participate in Wiki Loves Pride, a global campaign to create and improve LGBT-related content at Wikipedia during the month of June, culminating with a multinational edit-a-thon on June 21. The project is being spearheaded by two organizers with roots in the Pacific Northwest. Meetups are being organized in some cities, or you can participate remotely. Wikimedia Commons will also be hosting an LGBT-related photo challenge.

In Portland, there are two ways to contribute. One is a photography campaign called "Pride PDX", for pictures related to LGBT culture and history. The Wiki Loves Pride edit-a-thon will be held on Saturday, June 21 from noon–4pm at Smith Memorial Student Union, Room 236 at Portland State University. Prior Wikipedia editing is not required; assistance will be available the day of the event. Attendees should bring their own laptops and cords.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

International Women's Day Wikipedia Edit-a-thon, Oregon Jewish Museum, Thursday, March 7

The Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education, in partnership with social practice artist Shoshana Gugenheim and as part of the Art Feminism Project, will host the 2nd Annual International Women's Day Wikipedia Edit-a-thon to edit and/or create Wikipedia articles for Jewish women artists. The event will be held at the museum on Thursday, March 7 from 4 to 8 pm. Pre-registration is preferred but not required. Members of the public are invited to come to the museum to learn about the editing process, its history, its impact, and how to do it. We aim to collaboratively edit/enter 18 Jewish women artists into the canon. Support will be provided by an experienced local Wikipedian who will be on site to teach and guide the process. This edit-a-thon will serve as both a public art action and a public educational program. Participants will have an opportunity to select an artist/s ahead of time or on site.

However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed.
