Hei. =) Sindreman 16:31, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
Hi! I noticed that you moved a page from Egil Johan Østenstad to Egil Østenstad. However, in the future, please use the 'move' tab for this, don't copy and paste the page. If you use the 'move' tab, it will restore the history of the page. For this to work, the page that you want to move it for, has to be new. If it already existed as a redirect, it has to be deleted first. The page is alright now, I've fixed it, if you have any questions, feel free to contact me! Regards, JoanneB 08:29, 20 October 2005 (UTC)
- OK, sorry about that. I would have used the "move" tab, but since both pages already existed I couldn't do that (I'm not an admin on en and hence can't delete pages). I merely switched the two pages since Egil Østenstad (without the middle name) is the most commonly used name. --Badmotorfinger 08:45, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

List of English Football League managers by date of appointment
[edit]Hi. I'm sorry but I've had to revert your use of the [[{{{1}}} F.C.|{{{1}}}]] template on List of English Football League managers by date of appointment. We're supposed to be phasing out the use of that template in preference of piped links. I can't for the life of me find the policy stuff but it's there somewhere. Anyway, I thought I better tell you why I reverted it seeing as you probably put a fair bit of work into it. Cheers, HornetMike 23:21, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
I'd be interested in knowing the source you used to fill in his missing playing stats. I couldn't find them for love nor money. - Dudesleeper · Talk 02:49, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the link. Looks like I might be adding that book to my collection. If you get a chance, do you mind checking if it has the birth details for George Farrow? </cheekiness> - Dudesleeper · Talk 14:17, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Editing football club listing templates
[edit]Your edits, changing the clubs in the templates to the 2007-08 constitutions are worthy, but please do not mark them as "minor edits" as they definitely do affect the content contained within and are not just minor formatting etc. issues. - fchd 19:32, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- Also, please use concise but explanatory edit summaries. This helps other users when looking at their Watchlist pages. - fchd 19:35, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Unattached footballers
[edit]You really should have added a tag to this category when nominating it for deletion. I started the category, and have continually maintained it, but the first I knew of its nomination is now that the vote has been closed and it's been stripped from various pages. It would have been nice to have the opportunity to defend its presence. ArtVandelay13 (talk) 15:34, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Thulsa_Doom_Seats_album_cover.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Thulsa_Doom_Seats_album_cover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rockfang (talk) 15:24, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Wikimania 2010 could be coming to Stockholm!
[edit]I'm leaving you a note as you may be interested in this opportunity.
People from all six Nordic Wiki-communities (sv, no, nn, fi, da and is) are coordinating a bid for Wikimania 2010 in Stockholm. I'm sending you a message to let you know that this is occurring, and over the next few months we're looking for community support to make sure this happens! See the bid page on meta and if you like such an idea, please sign the "supporters" list at the bottom. Tack (or takk), and have a wonderful day! Mike H. Fierce! 07:23, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Badmotorfinger! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 13 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
- David White (English footballer) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 00:13, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
You are now a Reviewer
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:52, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Norway at the 1938 FIFA World Cup
[edit]Hi! I've seen your edit regarding the Norway squad at the 1938 WC. I was wondering if you can send me readable pics/screenshots of the two references you've provided. I would be able to check the newspapers since my data is a little different. Let me know and thank you really much however! --necronudist (talk) 14:54, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

DYK for Arne Pedersen
[edit]On 5 January 2014, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Arne Pedersen, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Arne Pedersen, the most successful player in Fredrikstad FK history, won six league titles and three cups with the club? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Arne Pedersen. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Orphaned non-free image File:Thulsa Doom She Fucks Me album cover.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Thulsa Doom She Fucks Me album cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 16:22, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
