Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Hello, Amaderna. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Kanoah Tests, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:18, 22 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Why is my article proposed for deletion?

It does have reliable sources, actual people talking about Kanoah Tests

Other editors have submitted similar articles of the same category and nobody proposed these for deletion

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TestLink

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TestTrack

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HP_Quality_Center

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rational_Quality_Manager

I feel like I'm being discriminated.

Nomination of Kanoah Tests for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Kanoah Tests is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kanoah Tests until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:29, 22 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

About your question at Talk: AFD

[edit]

About your question here. That is the Talk page for the policy page, that governs how we go about deleting articles - it isn't a page for discussing specific deletion discussions. It is pretty clear that there is a lot you don't understand about Wikipedia, and that is OK, there is a lot to learn. The first thing you should understand, is that there are a whole bunch of what we call policies and guidelines that govern how this place works. We refer to them by linking to them, like I just did there. When people do that, you should click on the link and go read what is there, so that you can learn. But this place is not a wild west - there are ways we do things.

With regard to the article you wrote, it has been nominated for deletion, which means that someone thinks that under our policies, the article should not exist. What the nominator wrote - their reason for the nomination - "contested prod. WP:SPA editor recently added this article about a product that does not meet WP:GNG" To understand what that means, you have to click those two links, and read what they say, and understand what they say. It does not appear that you have done that. I recommend you do. Once you have done that, please let me know if you have any questions. In the meantime, I have some things to ask you, and will do that in a new section... Conflict of interest in Wikipedia

[edit]

Hi Amaderna along with my other editing, I work on conflict of interest issues here in Wikipedia. Your edits to date are all about Kanoah Tests and are somewhat promotional. I'm giving you notice of our Conflict of Interest guideline and Terms of Use, and will have some comments and requests for you below.

There is NO conflict of interest, I have no relationship with Kanoah Tests whatsoever. I am a QA Tester and I use Kanoah Tests at my workplace everyday, it is a Test Management Tool.

Since TestLink and other tools have their own page, I decided to create a page for Kanoah Tests. That's ALL. I'm not getting paid for doing it. PERIOD.

Comments and requests

[edit]

Wikipedia is a widely-used reference work and managing conflict of interest is essential for ensuring the integrity of Wikipedia and retaining the public's trust in it. As in academia, COI is managed here in two steps - disclosure and a form of peer review. Please note that there is no bar to being part of the Wikipedia community if you want to be involved in articles where you have a conflict of interest;; there are just some things we ask you to do (and if you are paid, some things you need to do).

Disclosure is the most important, and first, step. While I am not asking you to disclose your identity (anonymity is strictly protecting by our WP:OUTING policy) would you please disclose if you have some connection with Kanoah Tests? You can answer how ever you wish (giving personally identifying information or not), but if there is a connection, with please disclose it. After you respond (and you can just reply below), perhaps we can talk a bit about editing Wikipedia, to give you some more orientation to how this place works. Please reply here - I am watching this page. Thanks! Jytdog (talk) 18:38, 22 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
