Tom Zanoski (born March 3, 1986 in Zagreb, Croatia) is a Croatian born, raised in Canada professional ice hockey Forward for the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League.
Playing career
[edit]Zanoski was born in Croatia, but was raised in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
Zanoski originally started his junior career in the Ontario Junior A Hockey League with the Vaughan Vipers in 2001.
Zanoski played for the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League from 2001 to 2003 and in the 2002 to 2003 season they made the playoffs. He was sent to the Mississauga IceDogs during the 2003-04 season and played with them until 2005. This team also made the playoffs in 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons.
Zanoski enrolled in college at Dalhousie University in 2005 and attended classes there until midway through the 2007-08 season. He turned professional during the 2007–08 season and was signed to a try-out with the Stockton Thunder of the East Coast Hockey League and played 42 games and 4 games during the playoffs[1]
In the following 2008–09 season, he initially remained with the [[Stockton Thunder]. He played 3 games for the Thunder, but was loaned to the Dayton Bombers for only 3 games as well. He then was loaned to the Gwinnett Senators where he remained for the rest of the ECHL season and played for them in the playoffs.[1] At the conclusion of this season he played for 3 different teams.
In the 2009–10 season, Zanoski played 42 games with the Senators, but finished out the season on 5 different AHL teams.
December 15,2009, he was signed to a PTO with Binghamton Senators, but was released 5 days later.[2]
January 15, 2010, he was signed to a PTO with Albany River Rats, but was released 5 days later.[3]
January 21, 2010, he was signed to a PTO with the Lake Erie Monsters, he was released on February 11, 2010, but then was re-signed the next day. He was finally released on February 15, 2010.[4]
March 9, 2010, he was signed to a PTO with Toronto Marlies, but was released the next day. He the re-signed a PTO on March 31, 2010, but released April 5, 2010.[5]
April 6, 2010, he was signed to a PTO with the Syracuse Crunch to end the 2009-10 season.[6]
For the 2010-11 season, Zanoski was signed by the Lake Erie Monsters.
