How To Avoid Pricks

When you land in a place that is prickly at best,
And feathers get ruffled – you've disturbed someone's nest;
Be cautious when offering friendly advice,
Lest you suddenly find your two orbs in a vise.
Lessons are learned, but to do so takes practice,

To avoid getting pricked when you land on a cactus.

The Redirect Barnstar
Your work in the area of redirect categorization and improvement has been recognized and appreciated. :) œ 06:43, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

Paine Ellsworth, you're a good editor and you deserve a cookie. Thank you for raising the issue of italics at Talk:Wikipedia—even though I ultimately disagreed with you, it was a valid question that led to a discussion that illuminated some things for me—and kudos for knowing when to walk away. Rivertorch (talk) 17:43, 9 April 2013 (UTC)

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
T!hank you for helping me with the clear template on my page Thus Spake Lee Tru. 13:46, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

Paine, just so you are aware, I took your name in vain at Talk:Gospel of Matthew#Sage advice. Imo, this is advice we would all be wise to follow in our continuing efforts to improve the content of this giant social experiment. Buona fortuna!

7&6=thirteen () has given you a Dobos Torte to enjoy! Seven layers of fun because you deserve it.

To give a Dobos Torte and spread the WikiLove, just place {{subst:Dobos Torte}} on someone else's talkpage, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend.

The Barnstar of Diligence
Thought it was about time you received recognition for you hard work in categorizing redirects and editing disambiguation pages! Cheers! Steel1943 (talk) 23:52, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

The Original Barnstar
Due to your help, the article was drastically improved. It solved the image problem and made it look good too. I very rarely give Barnstars, but you deserve it! You are are a real Wikipedia star...thank you! SethWhales talk 23:30, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for helping
Thanks for the advice, My next question were should I insert the tornado history in Natrona County. Should it go under general history or geography Camthetornado (talk) 15:24, 23 May 2014 (UTC)

The Barnstar of Diligence
Just to briefly reiterate what I wrote over at Template talk:R from Twitter username, thank you for your diligence in mulling over an issue, finding a rather obscure but nifty template to resolve it, and then applying it. And I'm really sorry you removed all those DEFAULTSORT keys by hand; you should have something beforehand, I could have done it in <10 minutes with AWB. Cheers for going the extra three miles! The Civility Barnstar
Even in the most heated of debates, I admire how you remained kind and calm and I think we all can learn from that. And thank you for your kind words the other day! - SilentResident (talk ✉ | contribs ✎) 23:08, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

For stepping up at RfA. Sorry this is not going in the right direction. FWIW I am deeply disappointed and think this is a community "own goal." Your record of contributions here are off the hook. Ad Orientem (talk) 17:52, 14 December 2023 (UTC)

Yup – that's all. What? I can't help it if I'm just a wikignome! (I only do it for the money... naht !) P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there what is time, anyway (UTC)?
