Namibian cultures:Festivals
[edit]Namibia is a country with many different cultures. They form a fairly diverse population, spare in much of the country. There are the Bantu speaking people, which are the Ovambo and Herero. The minorities include the Damara, Caucasian(mainly the Afrikaners and ethnic Germans), and people with mixed blood known as the Coloured people. The Khoisan people, although small in comparison is the largest in Africa. Though they speak different languages and are from various backgrounds, Namibians are united to some extent regardless of the fact that they are different.[1] Different cultural(ethnic)gronps in Namibia in no particular order

Namibians annually host cultural festivals to celebrate their cultures and learn more about other cultures for example the Polytechnic cultural festival[2] held annually at the Polytechnic of Namibia by the students and staff. There is also the Lusata festival[3] held in the Northern east of the country. With so many different people in one country, we are slowly but surely learning to tolerate those different from ourselves and live togather as one Namibia in harmony.
