Indian general election, 2014
[edit]While you have a right to be BOLD in your edit, per BRD please discuss the same and gain consensus before restoring them. This was explained as being neutral with making it alphabetical. This is not the quick access infobox, but the encyclopaedic content. See talk page, the review of the suspension of the polls is listed here, at the same time this particular poll does have sources and the working source is listed, so you cannot remove a source and tag it further. BOLD change was reverted, pelase disucss. The attack an election rally is certainly pertinent.(Lihaas (talk) 18:30, 10 March 2014 (UTC)).
- Ive added the caveat for the CVoter polls, and also left the hidden note you did.(Lihaas (talk) 18:33, 10 March 2014 (UTC)).
- I think you didn't get my point. I mean to say since Headlines today suspended all cvoter results. So, there is no question arises if the poll have working source or not.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS ☣ 18:36, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
- Also, you are saying mentioning party is neutral in alphabetical order(in terms of alliance or separate party ?) If it's alliance it should be in given order viz. Third front, NDA, Other and then UPA. --25 CENTS VICTORIOUS ☣ 18:44, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
- It was after the fact, as of now we have the sources. We also have the caveat. (Although removing the source and then tagging it as needing one is not condusicve to discussion).
- Also, how does Third Front come first? It would be after NDA. And you are right on that though. Other is last since its not a specific name, just a loose grouping.Lihaas (talk) 19:45, 10 March 2014 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Pratigya bhojpuri movie.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Pratigya bhojpuri movie.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014
[edit]Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.
Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

[edit]You wrote: Hi, I appreciate your edits on mentioned article. Please try to avoid adding so many controversial things. since article is about Party not controversies. Also article took so much time, hard work, effort and good number of hours to re-write it. Please cooperate. Thanks.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS ☣ 21:29, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
My friend, if you want the article to be all sugary then please work with the Official Congress Party Website. Our job on Wikipedia is to inform the world about a subject,, warts and all, and not to create a PR sheet. Your efforts during the last two weeks seem to be pointing towards removing all controversial material from the article. That is unacceptable and sooner or later, other editors will also take note of it. Thanks. Jonathansammy (talk) 21:46, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- Have mentioned each and every controversy. I request you to read the article thoroughly. Do not think that I am here to hide controversies happened during its tenure. Aware with fact why wikipedia exists and what one can done with it. While writing I must have made so many grammatical mistakes and I am glad you are correcting them. But wikipedia should not become a victim of personal conflict with any party or organization. --25 CENTS VICTORIOUS ☣ 07:34, 28 June 2014 (UTC)
- Is that a fact? I note that you were responsible for blanking out the entire properly cited controversy section from Sheila Dixit's article, on a totally nonsensical premise of her not being convicted yet for these. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sheila_Dikshit&diff=612109670&oldid=610718614
- I have restored the original section. I am very much concerned based on your edit history, and your talk page, that you are actually trying to hide all controversies related to Congress politicians, contrary to what you claim. If you tried to re-attempt a roll-back, I will be reporting you for bias and vandalism, and requesting a permanent ban against your user id. Please refrain. Abhisri (talk) 21:05, 06 July 2014 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Amrita Rao filmography
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Amrita Rao filmography. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Amrita Rao. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Amrita Rao – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Indiuser (talk) 11:33, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

I was getting ready to review Allahabad for GA, and was checking the images for copyright issues. Although this graph is licensed {{PD-simple}}, it is from a copyrighted website and has what looks like a combined {{Non-free image data}} and {{Non-free image rationale}}. Looks like fair use rather than PD to me; please see WP:Fair use rationale guideline#Template and correct the description and license. All the best, Miniapolis 00:07, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Allahabad Climate Graph.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Allahabad Climate Graph.gif. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 11:35, 15 August 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Maine Pyar Kiya (1989).jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Maine Pyar Kiya (1989).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. [edit]Note that editors adding or restoring content are REQUIRED to provide appropriate reliably published sourcing for claims. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 20:53, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
- I have added Under construction which means article is in process of development. You don't need to remove contents until you see that tag. Try to take wikipedia rules in positive way.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS ☣ 20:57, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
- Adding that template doesn't allow you to add back material that has been removed as unsourced, without providing a source for it when you add it back. And adding the {{Under construction}} tag to a more than six months old article in an attempt to prevent someone from removing unsourced material that has been in the article for a while is purely disruptive. - @Thomas.W: To my knowledge that template mean particular user is in process of finding reliable sources. --25 CENTS VICTORIOUS ☣ 06:57, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- No, it doesn't, it means that an article is "is in the process of an expansion or major restructuring". It can not be used as an excuse for not providing sources when re-adding material that has been removed for being unsourced, and adding it the way you did is purely disruptive. Thomas.W talk 07:33, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Thomas.W: That's not an excuse. People will add sources only after they find one. It takes times and doesn't work according to someone's way. User "TheRedPenOfDoom" removed most of relevant edits like Filmfare nomination, awards and etc. without proper discussion on article's talk page. Have added with source and adding it back with proper and reliable source doesn't seems to be disruptive. The further unwanteed revert by that particular user will get him block. Thanks--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS ☣ 07:39, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- Please read WP:Verifiability. Quotes:
"All material in Wikipedia mainspace, including everything in articles, lists and captions, must be verifiable. All quotations, and any material whose verifiability has been challenged or is likely to be challenged, must include an inline citation that directly supports the material. Any material that needs a source but does not have one may be removed."
,"All content must be verifiable. The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material"
and"Any material lacking a reliable source directly supporting it may be removed and should not be replaced without an inline citation to a reliable source"
. And stop your silly claims/threats that you will get TRPoD blocked if he continues his clean-up job, he's working within the rules, while you are not. Thomas.W talk 08:09, 28 September 2014 (UTC)- Just check TRPoD talk page, full of warnings. That user seems to be deletionist rather than than true Wikipedian. I will not get into an edit war with either him or you, he is quite interested on such things.
- It's full of warnings from people who don't know the rules, like you, and people who try to bend the rules. The job he's doing needs to be done, to keep fancruft and unsourced material out of the encyclopaedia that WP is supposed to be. Thomas.W talk 16:14, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- I don't want to indulge in any kind of irritating conversation. I would prefer to stay away from this insanity. He will enjoy nice block, sooner or later. Please do not reply further as I want my talk page filled with good things. Thanks25 CENTS VICTORIOUS ☣ 18:24, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
