Confirmed bids
[edit]Denmark and Sweden
[edit]After the two nations failed to receive the 2025 hosting rights with Finland and Norway, president of the Swedish federation, Fredrik Reinfeldt said they would look into potentially bidding in the future.[2] On 8 February, before the 2024 UEFA Congress in Paris, Denmark and Sweden expressed an interest in hosting the event.[3][4] The four Nordics planned to bid again, but after the evaluation report for 2025 stated the likelihood of winning would increase with only two co-hosts, Denmark and Sweden decided to pair up.[5][6] Norway was reportedly disappointed with their decision and wants to negotiate with them about joining the bid.[7][8] On 24 April 2024, Denmark and Sweden decided against bringing Norway into the bid.[9] On 23 July 2024, both nation reiterated their intention to bid.[10][11] However, after UEFA's requirements came out, problems regarding Denmark's stadiums aroused due to the lack of stadiums meeting capacity requirements.[12][13] To combat this issue, the Danish federation are negotiating with municipalities to construct a 20,000 capacity stadium.[14][15]
Predicted stadiums for the Denmark-Sweden bid:
- Copenhagen – Parken Stadium, capacity 38,065
- Brøndby – Brøndby Stadium, capacity 29,000

- Gothenborg – Gamla Ullevi, capacity 18,600
- Solna – Friends Arena, capacity 50,000
- Stockholm – Tele2 Arena, capacity 30,000
Poland
[edit]After failing to receive the 2025 hosting rights, on 26 July 2024 president of Polish federation Cezary Kulesza announced that Poland will bid once again to host the tournament in 2029.[16] Poland hosted UEFA Euro 2012, the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup, and the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
Predicted stadiums for the Poland bid:
- Warsaw – Kazimierz Górski National Stadium, capacity 58,580
- Wrocław – Tarczyński Arena Wrocław, capacity 45,105
- Poznań – ENEA Stadium, capacity 42,837
- Gdańsk – Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk, capacity 41,620
- Kraków – Henryk Reyman Stadium, capacity 33,130
- Zabrze – Ernest Pohl Stadium, capacity 31,871
- Białystok – Jagiellonia Stadium, capacity 22,372
- Szczecin – Florian Krygier Stadium, capacity 21,163
Germany
[edit]The German Football Association decided on 20 September 2024 that they would make a bid for Euro 2029 and submit their interest to UEFA by the deadline of 24 September.[17][18] DFB president Bernd Neuendorf said in a statement the bid was the organisation's "flagship project" which will give an "additional boost" to women's football in Germany.[19] Germany previously hosted the men's 1974 FIFA World Cup, the men's UEFA Euro 1988, UEFA Women's Euro 1989, UEFA Women's Euro 2001, the men's 2006 FIFA World Cup, 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup and the men's UEFA Euro 2024.
After the announcement of the bid, Hamburg, Hannover and Leverkusen all expressed an interest in being a host city.[20][21][22] Augsburg have already rejected to proposition of hosting games.[23]
