Tag removal request

[edit]

Information to be added or removed: Please remove the tags as I have addressed the issues. I have corrected the tonality of the page making it neutral and corrected the promotional content in the article. I am not connected to Wayne Elsey but this is a paid edit. Thanks!   Please consult assigning editor

  • It is recommended that, as a courtesy, you first try asking the editor who assigned each template — in both cases Bilby — in order to find out from them if they can be removed. Since they placed the templates, they are in the best position to know whether or not the issues which caused their placement have been corrected.[a] You may contact them by placing a new message on their talk page.
  • In the unlikely event that you do not hear back from them after a reasonable amount of time, please reopen this request by altering the {{request edit}} template's answer parameter to read from |ans=yes to |ans=no.[b] Thank you!

Notes

  1. ^ I hasten to add that in this particular case, random IP's have made various attempts to remove the maintenance templates outright, instead of fixing the problems associated with them. These actions have their own peculiar way of improving the article, in that it causes the article to be more highly scrutinized, which in turn holds the article as more-responsible for fixing these issues.
  2. ^ The requesting editor is also asked to name which entity is paying them for their requests to change the article (as is required). This may be explained through the use of the {{connected contributor (paid)}} template's |U1-employer= parameter, which remains to be filled out at the top of this talk page.

Hi! Sorry for not getting back to you sooner - I've been having a break over the holidays. :) I originally tagged this as having a COI because it was heavily edited by a paid editor. TP495, as you are also being paid, the COI tag is still relevant, and it will need to be removed by someone who isn't being paid to take it off. As to the neutrality, I don't know the situation with Wayne Elsey. However, two things stood out - the current sourcing is quote poor and often reads more as press releases than the sorts of articles we normally would use, and there appears to be controversy about his departure from Soles4Souls which is only briefly mentioned in the article as it stands, without any detail. - Bilby (talk) 14:30, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
