Notability criteria
[edit]I found this new article on the Tennessee project page and made initial edits to the article to show notability and a few rough attempts at categorizing the content in the limited time I had to do so, but did not address any concerns related to content that was seemed Autobiographical or promotional. Unencyclopedic style, unimportant information
[edit]I shortened the first paragraph. The style it was in was not encycopedic and contained information that is not relevant in an encyclopedic article. Below is the first paragraph before my editing.
Victoria Banks is a singer/songwriter from Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. Raised on antique cylinder records and classical piano and voice lessons, Victoria completed a degree in Zoology/Anthropology at the University of Toronto before moving to Nashville, Tennessee in 1998 with all of her belongings crammed into the back of a Chevy Sprint. After a winter of pinching pennies and writing songs with her mittens on in a frosty bedroom, she put her last $20 in the gas tank and drove downtown to sign her first publishing deal.
- not important which kind of car was used.
- with all her belongings ... isn't that what everyone takes with them when they move?
- raised on antique cylinder records. not relevant for the context.
- piching pennies and mittens in the bedroom. Not relevant for the context.
- not important for how much money she got gas.
Please do not move the content back into the article without a discussion. If you do not agree with these changes, please discuss the issues here first. My changes were not done to omit important information, they were done to improve the style of the article.
After the changes the article looks and reads less like a self-written bio and more encyclopedic.

Orphaned references in Victoria Banks
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Victoria Banks's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
