Ugo Nastrucci, milanese, ha studiato composizione con Irlando Danieli e Giacomo Manzoni presso il Conservatorio “Verdi” di Milano, conseguendone il diploma. Contemporaneamente ha studiato chitarra classica con Massimo Lonardi, dedicandosi in seguito agli strumenti antichi a corde pizzicate: ha frequentato il corso di liuto tenuto da Paolo Cherici presso il Conservatorio di Milano, perfezionandosi ai seminari di Hopkinson Smith. Come liutista e tiorbista ha al suo attivo una intensa attività solistica e collaborazioni con varie formazioni di musica antica fra cui “Il Conserto Vago”, “Lo Scrigno d’Orfeo”, “Europa Galante”, “Ensemble Arte-Musica”, la “Capella Leopoldina” di Graz, l’”Alessandro Stradella Consort”, l’Ensemble “Zefiro”, “I Barocchisti” l’”Accademia del Ricercare” il “Walliser Vokalensemble” di Brig; ha partecipato a numerose registrazioni discografiche, radiofoniche e televisive (RAI, ZDF, ORF, Radio France), ha tenuto concerti presso importanti sedi italiane ed in Francia, Svizzera, Austria, Germania, Olanda, Belgio, Repubblica Ceca, Spagna, Croazia, Stati Uniti, Polonia, Regno Unito, Messico. È autore delle musiche di scena di vari lavori teatrali e di composizioni orchestrali, corali e cameristiche. Insegna Armonia e materie affini presso l’Istituto di Alta Formazione Musicale ” Franco Vittadini” di Pavia, di cui è stato direttore dal 1996 al 2000.
