Could this be written any more like a press kit? Very promotional.
[edit]A few examples..I apologize in advance for my format.
"Lydia, when forming in 2003, set their creativity forth to a path of artistic independence away from any comparisons to bands in their genre. By combining traditional rock with dream-like harmonies and reflective choruses, the band gradually adopted a reputation as a group of young musicians destined to break through to the mainstream"
(Wow, just realized thats the entire first paragraph in the information section. Much of this sounds like an opinion).
"But it’s their veteran level of dedication that allowed them to first become noticed in the summer of 2004."
(I guess they were first noticed in the summer of 2004, I don't know. But either way this is a questionable cause.)
"After securing a spot on the compilation, their recognition as Arizona’s leading indie band led to performances with headliners, Coheed and Cambria, Alien Ant Farm, and Sum 41 on the “Zumiez Couch Tour” – showcasing the band’s versatility, while allowing them to reach fans across the country."
(Who says they are "Arizona's leading indie band"?)
"The album is a haunting collection of shifting moods and poetry accompanied by music of thoughtful and often times refreshing orchestration. Listeners are always surprised to find that the musicians behind such a mature sound are merely 18 year old kids. But it’s that very misconception that is contributing to Lydia’s sudden surge in popularity, as they tour the country connecting with young crowds who are desperate to find something to get them over the latest fads. When played live, the songs present the audience with an atmosphere of interwoven desire and heartache."
(Again, a lot of opinion, not a lot of fact. Also, "Listeners are always surprised to find that the musicians behind such a mature sound are merely 18 year old kids" Listeners are ALWAYS surprised? Weasel words.
Actually, let me just give the parts that are ok since there is less of them.
"The band won a nationwide talent search hosted by Atticus Clothing, for a slot on the Atticus- Dragging The Lake 3 (Side One Dummy) compilation. The album features artists such as Fall Out Boy, Motion City Soundtrack, and MXPX."
"Lydia’s debut album, “This December; It's One More and I'm Free” is set to be released in September on HourZero Records"
(might want to say what year..)
"With their youngest member finally out of high school, Lydia is now touring full time, and will be supporting their freshman effort throughout the rest of the year."
(So what year again?)

Added Weasel Wording Tag
[edit]For the above stateted reasons..
Looked at their label's webpage
[edit]And the entire information section is just copy and pasted from there. It seems that the entire information section should be deleted since it is entirely promotional (not just because of the source but how it is written).--Tooiha 13:35, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Ghjj.jpg
[edit]The image Image:Ghjj.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.
The following images also have this problem:

I don't see this album on wikipedia, but a google search will show that it's a real album, which should probably be getting a mention. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AlexWangombe (talk • contribs) 23:46, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
That album was from a completely different band who shares the same name. Thats why it is not mentioned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.179.178.186 (talk) 21:24, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
