[edit]

The page needs sources and excerpts from former students and graduates of the academy, with more detail into the structure of the school, such as consequences and status privileges. I attended Horizon Academy, another member of WWASP and Premier Education Systems, LLC, and thus have a working knowledge of the program, but more sources are needed for this article to be trustworthy. --Programkid (talk) 16:48, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I want to say you should probably 'give up' trying to find reliable sources. The only information there is about this place is from the magazine this association puts out. I don't think I can be counted as a reliable source; but if I can email me at [email protected] (yes thats a hyphen, not an underscore). I saw kids with scrapes and bruises after staff altercations but wasn't abused myself, mixed feelings about the place. Incredibly mixed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.127.170.134 (talk) 00:09, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Helped out articles

[edit]

Fixed a lot of outdated stuff, and also removed some POV nonsense. Still needs a lot of work however. --Modifyrelate (talk) 03:17, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User Deleted Page, made stub

[edit]

User 76.91.91.140 deleted more than 90% of the article and made it a stub. This user (according to the talk page) has done similar things to other articles, such as the Rock Lee article. Visit the user's talk page. Talk There was no reason posted on this talk page for the edit, and as such, I believe the page should be reverted. --~Programkid (talk) 17:59, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the content that you restored. The content was unsourced (see Wikipedia policy on the need for sources) and the extensive details about Cross Creek's disciplinary procedures are trivial "how-to" information that do not belong in an encyclopedia. (See WP:NOT.) --Orlady (talk) 03:28, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orlady, all sources come from someone writing something down. If you haven't experienced it you have no room to say what is and isn't unfounded. SO please keep your "opinions" to yourself.

Here's the story of a female teen who was forcefully moved to Cross Creek Programs. The text provides some in-depth description. http://www.reddit.com/r/troubledteens/comments/hk0xy/a_gay_teen_describes_her_experience_at_a_utah/ (see http://write.fm/t6lbdkz for an easier read). I remember reading the text of a gay teen boy a while back who was forced to Cross Creek, too, I think. I'll try to see if I can find that again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.57.211.179 (talk) 10:17, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Personal testimonials, particularly anonymous testimonials, are not suitable sources for encyclopedia articles. Sorry... --Orlady (talk) 14:28, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
In the case of an abusive area, "testimonials" are more so "evidence" especially considering there are plenty of them. Miles Kjeller (talk) 14:31, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
