Clue (1985)
[edit]This whole episode is a spoof of the 1985 movie Clue. --82.171.70.54 (talk) 19:50, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- I'll elaborate a bit, for those who haven't personally seen the movie. This episode and the movie have in common: multiple murders in a big (scary/secluded) mansion by an unknown murderer; guests arrive after receiving a similar, strange invitation, are met by a butler, and can't leave the premises; (dead) bodies disappear; lights go out briefly; the guests search the mansion in teams of two; all people have a motive to kill; secret passages in the mansion; the guests that chat during dinner have little in common. --82.171.70.54 (talk) 20:55, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- Knowing the episode's premise prior to its broadcast, I did watch the film Clue, and I'll admit there are a lot of similarities between this episode and the movie. If a reliable source is able to be found that confirms this, then it should be added, but until then, it should be held off on for a little while until the DVD comes out. I do remember MacFarlane referring to the episode as the "Clue" episode at Comic-Con, however, so there may be something there of use. Gage (talk) 21:01, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- I checked the footage at YouTube (all parts), but he only mentioned the Agatha Christie novel And Then There Were None (at 4:41). --82.171.70.54 (talk) 22:39, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- The Spanish article uses an article of IGN as a source, and it does indeed mention Clue.[1] --82.171.70.54 (talk) 22:58, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for hunting a source down, it looks good, feel free to add the reference, or I will a little later tonight. CTJF83 chat 23:08, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- Alright, it was previously mentioned in the lead, when I added it a few months ago, but I recently removed it to make room for the other information that would be available following the episode's broadcast. I'll see where I can fit it in at. Gage (talk) 23:10, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

Certain parts also spoof Murder by Death. Drsruli (talk) 05:40, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
Seth's Twitter about the episode being canon
[edit]What happened to it? Why did you take it down. I have seen alot of people wonder if it really is part of the canon. So unless he changed his mind why was it deleted.--68.81.176.14 (talk) 16:00, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
- Because Twitter is unreliable, anyone can make an account and pretend to be Seth. CTJF83 chat 16:38, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
- Except, this is a twitter verified account... CaptF (talk) 11:46, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
- Where? How? CTJF83 chat 16:21, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
- His account: http://twitter.com/SethMacFarlane - spot the tick stamp beside his name? This provides info on what it means. In short, anything on this twitter account comes from Seth or his people. [forgot to sign my edit...] CaptF (talk) 09:47, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
