Requested move 14 October 2024

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. The result of the move request was: MOVED as nominated, except 900-910 North Lake Shore, which is moved to 900–910 North Lake Shore. There is a clear consensus to move to en dashes per MOS:NUMRANGE. After relisting, a consensus against adding disambiguators has formed. There was also disagreement about the en dash versus "and" in one case, but consensus on that seems to favor the en dash. The three additional "Court at" moves proposed further down in the discussion can also be moved, as there seems to have been no opposition and they are consistent with the consensus in the rest of the discussion. – If I understand correctly, these are ranges of street addresses. Per MOS:NUMRANGE, ranges of numbers should be expressed with an en dash, not a hyphen. I confirmed that the NHRP uses "--" when describing the last two, which is equivalent to using an en dash. The 900-910 North Lake Shore article and some off-Wikipedia sources use "900 910" and "900/910", and the buildings' branding seems to use "900/910", and that topic is a pair of buildings, and units within each building are referred to with street addresses of 900 for one building and 910 for the other, so perhaps it should be "900 and 910". I would just perform these moves boldly, but I wonder whether someone might disagree with this interpretation or suggest alternative titles. For example, two cited sources ([1] and [2]) refer to the first topic simply as 601 High Street; it is a single building. — BarrelProof (talk) 16:45, 14 October 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Sennecaster (Chat) 01:42, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The neighbouring buildings, by the same architect, are described in 860–880 Lake Shore Drive Apartments. So it might be better to use 900–910 to be consistent. We could also consider whether the street name should be written as North Lake Shore Drive. The name Esplanade Apartments also appears to be used, but I expect that there are many buildings with that name. AlasdairW (talk) 21:26, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support. I agree, we should move it.
Comment Lets keep the dash pages as a redirect. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Cooldudeseven7 join in on the tea talk 12:17, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's our policy. Andrewa (talk) 08:12, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Relisting comment: There's broad support to move to fix the hyphens, but unclear consensus on whether to disambiguate or not. Sennecaster (Chat) 01:42, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support moves as follows:
The disambiguators are not necessary per WP:CONCISE, since there are no other buildings with these address ranges that also have Wikipedia articles. – Epicgenius (talk) 16:21, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support I generally support this move idea ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Cooldudeseven7 join in on the tea talk 18:46, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
