It is named after Mary Cunningham, benefactor, who left that and to the town as part of her estate. She was very generous to Milto and Mary A. Cunningham Jr. High School was also named in her honor. I grew up on Edge Hill Rd, attended Cunningham Jr. High and spent many happy hours playing in Cunningham Park, swimming, playing tennis, skating, skooting basketball and platinum baseball...
