Nitanshi Goel (born 12 June 2007) is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films and television. Goel starred in her Bollywood debut Laapataa Ladies (2024).[1] For her standout performance in the film, she won the IMDb Breakout Star Starmeter Award, also becoming the youngest recipient of this award globally [2][3]
Early life and family
[edit]Goel was born on 12 June 2007 in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.[4] She grew up in a middle-class Hindu family with her father, Nitin Goel, and her mother, Rashi Goel.[5] She shared that her parents sacrificed their careers to support her acting dreams.[6][7]
Career
[edit]In 2015, Goel won the title of Miss Pantaloons Junior Fashion Icon.[8]
She has appeared in numerous shows and movies, including M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Indu Sarkar, Thapki Pyar Ki, Karmaphal Daata Shani, and Peshwa Bajirao.
She made her Bollywood lead debut in 2024 with the film Laapataa Ladies, co-starring Sparsh Shrivastava, Pratibha Ranta and Ravi Kishan, produced by Aamir Khan Productions.[9] Saibal Chatterjee noted, "Nitanshi Goel conveys a combination of fragility and optimism with minimum effort."[10]
