Français : Photographie prise lors de la première cérémonie de citoyenneté canadienne, dans l’édifice de la Cour suprême à Ottawa, le 3 janvier 1947. Au cours de cette cérémonie, le premier ministre Mackenzie King est devenu officiellement le premier citoyen canadien. On voit ici le juge en chef Thibaudeau Rinfret lui remettre son certificat de citoyenneté.
English: Photograph taken during the first Canadian citizenship ceremony in the Supreme Court building in Ottawa on January 3, 1947. During this ceremony, Prime Minister Mackenzie King became the first Canadian citizen. On this picture, we can see Chief Justice Thibaudeau Rinfret giving him is citizenship certificate. |
