Patent Infringement Case

[edit]

A federal district court in New York has ruled Zeta Global Corp.'s patent infringement case in favor of Maropost Marketing Cloud Inc. The case involved a patent related to a method for classifying failure messages received from internet service providers in response to email delivery failures. The court determined that the patent was directed toward an abstract idea and lacked an inventive concept. However, the court declined Maropost Marketing Cloud's request for a conference to seek a motion for sanctions.[17]

Controversy

[edit]

Maropost, reportedly experienced a data breach during the testing phase of a new centralized logging system. The breach is believed to have occurred in June 2019 while the company was testing ElasticStack as part of its new centralized logging infrastructure. The incident originated from a virtual testing machine separate from Maropost's actual system. There was no real breach or security vulnerability requiring a patch.[18]
