Dhaka Kotwali (Bengali: ঢাকা কোতোয়ালী) is the Sadar (Principal) Thana of Dhaka District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Geography

Dhaka Kotwali is bounded by Bangshal Thana on the north, Keraniganj Upazila on the south, Sutrapur Thana on the east, Chawkbazar Thana on the west. It has total area of 0.67 km2.[5]

According to 2011 Census of Bangladesh, Kotwali Thana has a population of 62,087 with average household size of 5.3 members, and an average literacy rate of 73.0% vs national average of 51.8% literacy.[6]
