Allison Hougland is an American politician and realtor serving as a member of the Kansas House of Representatives from the 16th district. Elected in November 2022, she assumed office on January 9, 2023.

Early life

Hougland was born and raised in Olathe, Kansas, where she now lives and works.[1] Her father was a state representative and judge, and her mother was a small business owner.

Career

Hougland has been employed as a realtor for the last six years.[2] In 2022, she ran for the Kansas House. She won over Republican nominee Matt Bingesser by 78 votes.[3] In the state legislature, she serves on the committees for homelessness, welfare reform, elections, and child welfare and foster care.
