The 1829 Virginia gubernatorial election was held on 1 March 1829 in order to elect the Governor of Virginia. Incumbent Democratic Governor of Virginia William Branch Giles won re-election in the Virginia General Assembly as he ran unopposed.[1]

[edit]On election day, 1 March 1829, Democratic nominee William Branch Giles easily won re-election as he ran unopposed. Giles was sworn in for his third term on 4 March 1829.[2]
