Is WP:GNG clear enough for awards articles?

This question has been raised by me in a discussion about deleting an awards article I created. This is not about that article in particular, but more broadly, looking at notability for awards articles. We have LOTS of awards articles that would be eligible for deletion under those current WP:GNG guidelines, and I'm thinking that something more specific (as mentioned in WP:SNG) could be developed specifically for awards. Many awards are not mentioned in mainstream news media, but are meaningful within their subject context. So, just wondering if, among editors in this project, if this has been looked at before. I'm all for making Wikipedia as useful as possible for users, and being able to look up what an award is about seems useful to me. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 00:34, 25 September 2024 (UTC)

Deprecation of totals in Template:Infobox awards list

Subcat creation for Nobel by year templates

In Category:Nobel Prize navigational boxes, I think that the year templates, for example Template:1957 Nobel Prize winners should be in a subcat. Maybe Category:Nobel Prize navigational boxes by year? I thought I would ask here before asking on CFD.Naraht (talk) 14:10, 11 October 2024 (UTC)

Opus Klassik music awards needed?

Opus Klassik is a redirect to the earlier Echo Klassik, which it replaced in 2018. See de:Opus_Klassik and de:Liste der Opus-Klassik-Preisträger. Perhaps someone might like to create an en.wiki article on the current prize? (Not my specialist area, I only came across it while editing Eileen Kramer who danced, aged 107, in a winning video clip!) PamD 09:27, 17 November 2024 (UTC)

CinEuphoria Awards

Hi, I'm in an edit warring with a user determined to add an award from CinEuphoria Awards on Jacob Anderson page. They only provided a citation to IMDb, insisting it's a legit award because there are several Wikipedia pages included it. I have checked all of them and none cites better source than IMDb and a Blogspot. But since it's a Portuguese page, I'm afraid I'm not familiar about it and may have made a mistake. So, I'd like to ask if anyone knows about this award? You can find my discussion on it so far on here. If it is indeed a not notable award, I'll proceed the user to WP:ANI soon. Don't have time to look into it, but at the very least the interwiki should be changed to CinEuphoria Awards to make it more obvious it's an interwiki. Primefac (talk) 13:05, 9 December 2024 (UTC)

Hmm.... based on this and that it looks like this is an award created by a blogger; I would make the argument then that it is not a notable award and probably shouldn't be included on the article.
