Vandalism stats odd
https://redwarn.toolforge.org/tools/rpm/
The "Rollback RPM" is showing "INF." --Firestar464 (talk) 09:29, 30 June 2021 (UTC)
Now the "Total RPM" has disappeared as well. This is obviously a bug. --Firestar464 (talk) 07:51, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
Two issues
"Vandalism" revert option assuming bad faith and not denying recognition
The edit summary for the "Quick rollback vandalism" revert option gives this edit summary:
The issue with this is that it uses the word "vandalism" which should not be used because it assumes bad faith and does not deny recognition.
"3RR" revert option completely useless
The "3RR" revert option is conpletely useless since it would add to an edit war whenever it is used. —TypicalWikimedian (talk • contribs) 17:10, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
- Hi TypicalWikimedian, welcome to Wikipedia. Firstly, please make sure you format your talk pages correctly by avoiding WP:SHOUTing and creating unnecessary subsections. On your first point, the choice to use the vandalism revert reason assumes bad faith. Good faith editors should not be reverted using the vandalism revert reason. Editors should use their discretion in these cases to select or type a more appropriate reason. As such, we have no plans to change the text at present. ✨ Ed talk! ✨ 17:22, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
- Also, regarding 3RR, this reason should be used discretionally but can be useful in cases of edit waring by uninvolved parties, however it should be used carefully and only in accordance with WP:EW. Also, please correct your signature per WP:SIG#NT. ✨ Ed talk! ✨ 17:43, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
I'd like to add this template at RedWarn (or Twinkle). How can I do so? Dr Salvus 23:15, 8 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Dr Salvus: If the template follows the user warning design guidelines then the template can be added to Wikipedia:RedWarn/Default Warnings. It's a JSON-formatted file with all the warnings used by RedWarn. Chlod (RW • say hi!) 02:53, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
Uw-islamhon1 at TFD
{{uw-islamhon1}} and its template successors are being discussed at TFD. –Gladamas (talk · contribs) 23:27, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
Quote
I have recently noticed that in the quote of RedWarn's article, there is a typo (by and far). I am wondering if an inline [sic] template should be inserted to discourage editing of the quote (I have edited the quote as I believed the typo was due to the editor who added the quote) and to clarify that this is how the quote was originally. - @Firestar464: This is an issue caused by Toolforge's FontCDN. The problem has been forwarded to #wikimedia-cloud connect and should be addressed soon. Chlod (RW • say hi!) 06:56, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
Feature request: ability to add a quick rollback link that hides the username of editor being reverted
aeschylus (talk) 19:03, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
- Hi @Aeschylus, do you have any further information/justification for this feature? Thanks, ✨ Ed talk! ✨ 19:27, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Ed6767, it is to reduce the work for admins when the username you are reverting is going to be deleted/suppressed. When using rollback, the username of the reverted editor is also in the edit summary, which creates more work for the admins when they delete the username. See my recent edits for an example. aeschylus (talk) 19:29, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Aeschylus, OK, I can add this feature now. Do you think the checkbox should be visible by default or be hidden and enabled in preferences as we should favour people still including usernames in their edit descriptions? ✨ Ed talk! ✨ 19:37, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Ed6767, It should also be an extra link at the quick rollback form the contributions of the user, near the "rb" and "rvv" links. When the mouse is rolled over, it should say something like "Quick rollback hide username". By default, usernames should be included, as very few vandals use names that are abusive to the point of requiring deletion. aeschylus (talk) 19:39, 25 July 2021 (UTC)

How do I uninstall RedWarn?
So I've been trying to use Redwarn but have decided to just revert by hand. I don't know how to uninstall it. FudgeMobile 12:12, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
- @FudgeMobile: Go to Special:MyPage/common.js and remove the following line:
mw.loader.load( '/w/index.php?title=User:RedWarn/.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript' ); // Backlink: [[User:RedWarn/.js]]
Chlod (RW • say hi!) 12:13, 29 July 2021 (UTC)- Thanks! FudgeMobile 12:18, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
- I have just done that and it keeps coming back. FudgeMobile 12:19, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
