Suspected sockpuppets

User has been a problem for a while now. He's been warned by me and other users in the past various times. The user removed reliable sources twice from the Liga MX article here and removed the same references but this time as an IP address as shown here. There are other IP addresses in the articles doing similar edits but I can't confirm it's the user. GoPurple'nGold24 05:47, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've reported the user before unfortunately all the user got was a warning. The user keeps logging out and making disruptive edits with various IP addresses. The user has barely edited with his account since June 18, instead the user has been doing the disruptive edits with its IP address. The user keeps adding and removing players from Liga MX and Ascenso MX team roster sections without it being official or providing a reliable source both with the main account and especially its IP addresses like here (IP), here (IP), here (IP), here, here, here

Last month, the user also removed reliable sources on the Liga MX article which I reverted but then a few days the user removed them again but this time with its IP address. That happened on multiple occasions like here and here. GoPurple'nGold24 02:14, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've waited for more than a month and no action has been taken. The user has used since then has used various IP addresses to add unsourced information to Mexican football team articles that it's almost impossible to list them all. Just recently the user has used 189.233.217.95 to make disruptive edits, sometimes just minutes after using the user account like here (user) and here here (IP), adding unsourced information and adding and removing players without providing a source. Just if you look alone on the contributions of the IP and the user you can see they edit the same type of articles and edit similar content. Here's another example: IP User. Here the user removed a large of content without providing a reason or a source minutes before editing with the user account. GoPurple'nGold24 01:17, 29 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Here's another more recent IP address. GoPurple'nGold24 10:15, 20 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The IPs haven't edited in a very long time. Closing.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:29, 21 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That's because the IPs constantly change, here's a more recent one. GoPurple'nGold24 09:21, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I added made this claim over 2 months so of course the user's IP address is going to change. Please check again, the user is causing a big mess in many articles and the worse part is that it doesn't pay attention to any comments or messages. GoPurple'nGold24 09:23, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is the third time I have reported this user. The first time the user just got a warning. The second time I made the report on June 24, 2016 and it took 2 months for an admin to response. No action was taken on the Sock because the admin claimed the "IPs haven't edited in a very long time". Of course the IPs hadn't edited in a long time since I made that claim 2 months ago, the User's IP address changed various times since then.

I've been editing on Wikipedia for almost ten years and I've never seen a user this stubborn. The user doesn't listen to any messages left on the talk page, or the edit summaries. I know many of the admins might be busy but I hope this time it doesn't take long for any action to be taken. I'm reporting it's latest IP address (as of August 22, 2016)

Here's an example of the user adding unsourced content with its Wikipedia account and IP address. Here's the user changing players' positions despite being told the positions are listed from the official league website (account) (IP address). Here's another example: User IP GoPurple'nGold24 09:50, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Here's another more recent IP the user is using. The user changed the capacity of the Liga MX stadiums on two articles. One with its account and many with it's IP address including this one. GoPurple'nGold24 02:33, 9 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Well. It appears that this user does not consistently log in, or may be having some technical issue that knocks him out of his editing session, and this happens fairly frequently. However, he's not blocked and has no block log. I'm very hesitant to suggest that he's not responsive to messages left on his talk page since only one (possibly two) of the 72 messages left in the past 22 months are non-template/non-bot messages. (If he doesn't do anything about a PROD or speedy deletion message, it's a non-issue.) He does not have a large "deleted edits" record and it is not disproportionate to the rest of his editing. There is only one page that seems to have been deleted twice: he wrote them in 2016, and they're G4s referring to a deletion discussion from 2011 - notability can definitely change over five years, especially when discussing sportsmen, so I'm not so sure I would have made that deletion myself.

There is no hard and fast rule that users must always log in to edit. A lot of the editing done without logging in is done on different articles (i.e., there does not appear to be an attempt to obfuscate here), so I am not sure there is a lot to be done in this case. Perhaps a well-written note with a descriptive subject line (that is, not "September 2016") might be helpful, but if his problem is technical there may not be much he can do, either. Recommend closing. Risker (talk) 06:12, 11 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The user has been adding usourced information with its username and IP address for a while. This is just the most recent IP address the user has been editing with. The user has used various in the past. Every time I've reported the user nothing happens. For example here on November 19 the user edited with it Wikipedia account while here on November 29 with it's IP address, the user changes the positions of the players despite being told that the way they're listed on the league website. This was one of many times the user has done this. Ther user has also been adding and removing players from team rosters despite no offical announcement like here (user) and here (IP). Also here (User) and here (IP). The Mexican football transfer window is currently going on and it's just going to get worse. GoPurple'nGold24 02:00, 1 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

(Non-administrator comment) @GoPurpleNGold24: Per WP:LOGOUT, editors are generally allowed to edit while logged out. 73.96.112.179 (talk) 11:37, 5 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  •   Clerk note: it is generally allowed to edit while logged out, however it is not permissible to do so when the combination of a user's logged-in and logged-out editing reveals a pattern of unconstructive editing, which I believe to be the case here. I don't believe the user is logging out intentionally to avoid scrutiny and so I cannot recommend any enforcement under the WP:SOCK policy, however I suggest reporting this to WP:ANI for administrator attention. As for ranges, we can't do much better than 189.144.0.0/18 and 201.114.48.0/21. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 14:09, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The account is doing edits Ronalditos58815738 normally does, such as editing and creating stub Mexican basketball related articles, editing Mexican lower division football articles, as well as uploading logos. Pinging GiantSnowman, thanks! Hhkohh (talk) 06:04, 2 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

User has re-created several pages previously created by Lujaraga1 and subsequently deleted by GiantSnowman per WP:DENY. They include:

I don't know if there are others, but that's already too many for pure co-incidence, particularly as they were all created in the space of thirteen minutes. CheckUser requested in case this isn't the only account. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 13:53, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

After my first check, I think this user is likely (not sure!) to Lujaraga1 (talk · contribs) in behavior. Hhkohh (talk) 14:19, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
See also Pumas CU UNAM (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) move behavior Hhkohh (talk) 14:23, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi everyone, I already put in contact with you Justlettersandnumbers about the issues that had the pages that I created related to basketball, but I did not receive any feedback from your part. Hhkohh I make that "move behavior", because I think that it was in order to keep all the american football teams in that league with the same name structure, and it is the real team name if you read the following sources [1][2].Maybe I didn't make some pages correctly but I don't know why this accusations are against me. If you also notice in my home page and in my contributions I am a legitimate and transparent user, I do not commit any vandalism, I stay in touch with other users and administrators to improve my contributions and since my point of view I am making good contributions in order to fix issues of the encyclopedia. I hope you reconsider this accusations please, I am a starter and I am here to learn. You can check my IP or anything you think necessary, I have nothing to hide. --Lramirez26 (talk) 14:33, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

And why did you remove my comment [1] ? Hhkohh (talk) 14:42, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry Hhkohh I was editing my comment, and I erase it accidentally.--Lramirez26 (talk) 14:45, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Justlettersandnumbers Also in my defense I could say that I use the same template of the article Panteras de Aguascalientes in creating all those basketball articles. And that article have been there since a lot of time ago And no one has fix it. --Lramirez26 (talk) 14:54, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Same general overlapping interest with footy as the master, recreated Samara Alcalá, Diana Sánchez, Brissa Rangel, Ana Gabriela Paz, Montserrat Hernández, Daniela Alcántar, and I'm sure more but I got tired of looking after the 5th one. Praxidicae (talk) 18:52, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
