Apologies in advance if SPI wasn't the right place to bring this, but there's something dodgy here.

NurMi-io was blocked on Wikinews a couple of days ago, and earlier today globally locked. Ten minutes later (I think, I can never figure out which time stamps are in which time zone!) a new account Nurkhametov Mike (= 'NurMi'?) is registered, and continues editing NurMi-io's creation Draft:Fav!. So far, so obvious, I think (although whether that's technically socking, I'm not 100% sure?).

What I don't know is whether and how Hiruhyoko ties in with this, but I'm including them here anyway. It's a newish account (two weeks old), and when it was registered, it was straight away indeffed on it.wiki based on CU, but I don't know why, and what account(s) it links to. Here they're doing completely pointless dummy edits, mainly in the draft space, presumably to game EC status. One of these was to Draft:Fav!, and possibly prompted by that, Nurkhametov Mike went to post something on Hiruhyoko's talk page, as well as posting at Draft talk:Fav! "You can draft to article Wikipedia page for the wiki article on Hiruhyoko by" (whatever that means).

It could well be that the Hiruhyoko-Nurkhametov Mike interaction was pure coincidence, and there is no connection between them. Could I ask for CU on Hiruhyoko all the same, because I suspect if it doesn't find a connection to N.M., it'll probably find one to someone else blocked here (I first thought of Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/14 novembre, who has a lot of socks on it.wiki and is determined to get established here, but the behaviour doesn't otherwise match).

PS: Nurkhametov Mike just wrote on their user page "NurMi team speak hello to yourself more than." Not sure what that means, but I think it pretty much confirms, if there was any doubt, that Nurkhametov Mike = NurMi-io. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:02, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nurkhametov Mike is Confirmed to NurMi-io. I don't see enough evidence to justify a check on Hiruhyoko. In addition, I found
