- Code letter: F
- Supporting evidence:
- User:Red4tribe has a history of uploading new versions of existing maps on empire articles and of getting into trouble with the community about lack of (or dubious) references for his changes. Result: four blocks. His track record in "empire maps" can be seen here in this sample:
- Red4tribe uploads map to Swedish overseas colonies 19:45, 15 April 2008
- Red4ribe uploads map to Swedish Empire 19:47, 15 April 2008
- Red4tribe blocked for 1 week at 16:18, 5 May 2008
- Jaggsan uploads new version of map 13:59, 9 May 2008
- Jagsan changes Swedish Empire to use the new map 14:16, 9 May 2008
- Red4tribe's block expires
- Red4tribe changes the size of the map 20:20, 13 May 2008
- (FYI - from previous case below, the next minute, IP address User:76.15.56.93 readds another Red4tribe map 20:22, 13 May 2008)
- 23:21, 13 May 2008 Red4tribe blocked again
- Mlerwei makes some edits to a page Red4tribe is interested in 15:55, 19 May 2008
- 23:56, 19 May 2008 Red4tribe's block extended for yet more sockpuppetry violations
- Red4tribe requests an unblock from his IP address 07:22, 20 May 2008
- The sole edit by User:80.192.33.59, three hours later, is to change the map at Swedish overseas colonies to the new version 11:26, 20 May 2008
The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick t 23:51, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
- User:74.71.143.235 readds one of the maps 20:58, 20 May 2008. Note that this user is from Road Runner in Virginia, exactly the same as this user User:71.64.97.228, who also readded a map [1]
- User:74.71.143.235 then edits the same image page, which Red4tribe created, adding a reference [2]
- User:189.27.87.157 writes "map is sourced" on the article page 21:34, 20 May 2008 - now why on earth would anyone do that if they were not the editor concerned or one of his cronies?
Clearly, more than one IP address is involved here, but it is blatantly obvious that it is the same editor, either using different networks, or enlisting the help of acquaintances to make the edits.
The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick t 01:22, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- The editors appear to be Unrelated to each other and to Red4tribe. Thatcher 00:05, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- Code letter: E
- Supporting evidence: Having only just come off a ban and warning for 3RR violations and sockpuppetry regarding self-made maps that he was adding to Dutch Empire, and me having had to again report him for 3RR violations this time at Italian Empire [3], he appears to again be resorting to hiding his identity to get his maps added after warnings about reverts, this time to Overseas expansion of the United States.
- Red4tribe originally added his (unsourced) map at 17:45, 29 April 2008
- I removed the map at 20:27, 30 April 2008
- (skip a few days...)
- I report him for 3RR at 17:33, 13 May 2008 for forcibly readding a separate contentious map of his on another page
- Anon IP readds map at 20:22, 13 May 2008
Why is this one edit so important and in need of a checkip? I realise that checkip's involve privacy issues, unlike checkusers, but Red4tribe has a history of adding dubious maps (or, at least, maps that other users find fault with) and this is the second time that he is resorting to hiding his identity to get them onto WP.
The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick t 00:38, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
"Sighs", I forgot to log on, this is indeed my IP, I had logged of then I logged back on. I don't see how this is nesseccary, it has happened before and it will happen again. (Red4tribe (talk) 00:40, 14 May 2008 (UTC))
- So you have been online for several hours, you were editing right up until 20:20 as Red4tribe, then you logged off, at 20:22 you decided to edit again but "forgot" to log in, made one single reversion as the IP address to add back your map, then logged back in to continue your editing run as Red4tribe from 20:23? [4] And you expect me, and others, to believe that after this conversation [5] in which you admit to sockpuppetry because it was an "easier way to get information in wihtout me breathing down your neck"? The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick t 00:49, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- No, I don't expect you to believe it because it's you. And at this point, really don't care about the accuracy of articles anymore, you are just undoing every edit I make(nearly) just to bother me. It is really quite pathetic. I was planning to call it a night, when I had seen my map(which is accurate) removed so, I hastily added it back, forgetting to log in. Now I am going to have to wait and defend my case. (Red4tribe (talk) 00:54, 14 May 2008 (UTC))
- Unnecessary. The matter under discussion does not require checkuser involvement. Thatcher 11:08, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

- Supporting evidence: SaudiArabia44/Red4tribe - very similar interest lists and behaviour on the Dutch Empire article: reversions without discussions and addition of unsourced material. Reversion occured by alleged sockpuppet account [6] after I had reported sockpuppeteer for 3RR [7]. Tonight there were edits within minutes of each other on the article, and then two messages left on my talk page [8] left in exactly the same signature. Blanked my message about sockpuppetry on his talk page [9] He may even be wise enough to use two different computer networks to make his edits, judging by his cockiness at not being caught and previous check4user below. The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick t 02:45, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
- Now claims, after first replying, when challenged, "let's see what happens" that it is his "brother" sitting next to him. [10] The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick t 10:43, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
- Trip Johnson/Red4tribe/SaudiArabia44 Trip Johnson is another account with exactly the same signature, seems to be generating a consensus with his sock puppet accounts on the Talk:Battle of Harlem Heights page [[11]] with all three contributing with exactly the same signature
- Confirmed Red4tribe==SaudiArabia44. Trip Johnson is Unrelated. Thatcher 17:25, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

- Supporting evidence: Disruptive edits, insertion of inaccurate and unreferenced material, revert warring without any attempt to discuss, usually without edit summary. All users have same behaviour, edit the same pages and revert war over the same items, for example on War on Terrorism: RonaldHoward, Red4tribe, 76.15.56.5. Similar factually incorrect and unreferenced edits by USA02 (made in unison with Red4tribe without uttering a single word or edit summary), and Vietnam War history shows a clear pattern also with same inaccuracies introduced.Sir Anon (talk) 11:38, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- The named users are all Unrelated. No comment on the IP as it only has 3 edits and does not seem to be part of an ongoing problem. Thatcher 04:09, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
