Suggest disambiguation, given the likes of Munden, Kansas, Munden House, Great Munden, Little Munden, Bob Munden, Carri Munden, Donald Munden, John Munden, Joseph Shepherd Munden, Marc Munden, Marwood Munden, Paul Munden, Richard Munden (British Army officer), Richard Munden (Royal Navy officer) and Victor Munden. There is also a ridge called "Munden" in Pakistan and another place called "Münden" in Germany. I pointed this to Minden (disambiguation) but was reverted however a separate DAB could exist here. The result of the discussion was retarget to Arctic#Animals. plicit 00:44, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Originally an attempt at a stand alone article. Later redirected to Arctic Ocean and now to Arctic fox. There are multiple animals in the Arctic and foxes are just one. I can't find a list to redirect to or any other suitable target. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 22:18, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Retarget to CBS 17 which has possible targets. WNCN is probably the primary topic, but this sort of small detail difference isn't the greatest. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 21:50, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned at the target, no relevant results in internet and GScholar searches, delete unless a justification can be provided. signed, Rosguill talk 18:10, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Only mentions I could find and access are blogs, this book which is self-published (Lulu.com), and blogs based off of that book. eviolite (talk) 20:44, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. I couldn't find much. Apparently Makavian "sky people" and "moon-eyed" people are two separate peoples, each attributed to Cherokee myth. The descriptions indicate an essential conflict:
  1. Makavians: sky people, ancestors of the Cherokee
  2. Moon-eyed people: found living in the Appalachian region; expelled by the Cherokee
This is the first sentence in the lede of Moon-eyed people: "The moon-eyed people are a legendary group of short, bearded white skinned people who are said to have lived in Appalachia until the Cherokee expelled them."
I found this mention of Makavians on a blog, [1] (iNigeria.com), (home) > The Sources Of Some Christian Beliefs And Practices >
g. The Cherokees (Native American) people also believed that they are descendants of sky people known as “Makavians.”

Private school (India and Sri Lanka) redirects to Private schools (Sri Lanka). This is not appropriate because the target page describes private schools in Sri Lanka only (and not India). This redirect page should be deleted. Dwaipayan (talk) 18:06, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Canonical jurisprudence

The result of the discussion was soft delete. Based on minimal participation, this uncontroversial nomination is treated as an expired PROD (a.k.a. "soft deletion"). Editors can request undeletion of these articles. plicit 14:41, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Misleading and biased: not every jurisprudence in canon law is the Catholic canon law jurisprudence. For example, there is the jurisprudence of Eastern Orthodox canon law.
The concept of jurisprudence at the article Canon law is only mentioned once and it is concerning Catholic canon law jurisprudence, so a retarget there would be a very bad idea.
The creator of the article moved the page to remove the Catholic bias of the previous title, but left those redirects.
I recommend deletion. Veverve (talk) 14:38, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Housemartin

The result of the discussion was retarget to Delichon. signed, Rosguill talk 01:46, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Same animal, alternate spellings; should redirect to the same target. I suggest that should be "common house martin" because the adjective "common" here reflects Wikipedia naming conventions, but do not feel strongly about it.
Note 1. Housemartins redirects to The Housemartins, which strikes me as appropriate.
Note 2. House marten redirects to Beech marten; the hatnote there should be aligned with the result of this discussion. Narky Blert (alt) (talk) 13:32, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • (Re)target all to Delichon. Ideally a statement with a reference stating the genus comprises "the house martins" should be added, since all 4 extant species are house martins. Update hatnotes as appropriate per Narky Blert. I already tweaked some hatnotes and redirect in relation to the mammal, House marten. A hatnote should be added to The Housemartins if not already. The result of the discussion was no consensus to delete. Instead this will be disambiguated as the most supported ATD, and I will be following 65.92.246.142's outline. -- Tavix (talk) 20:16, 5 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Is this the best target for this, consistent with Queen of England, or List of English monarchs? Or, given that neither target is a disambiguation page, could we delete it (my preference). Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 13:24, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Connaught Road DLR station

edit

The result of the discussion was retarget to List of Docklands Light Railway stations#Safeguarded stations. plicit 14:39, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Previous (eg 2014) versions of the target article had a section "Connaught Road/Silvertown Interchange station" but even then, that section said "no plans have emerged as to if or when a station might be built here". Readers will find nothing about Connaught Road at the target article now, and the unexplained presence of this redirect may lead to confusion. Delete - Similar to Weightlifting, Basketball, and Football which are all in discussion I would have to suggest this to be also apart of the discussion as the redirects for an event happening in two years to the main event are not particularly useful. I would suggest this page be removed. Swaggalicious (talk) 05:00, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Following Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2022 February 11#IPad Air (5th generation) and Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2022 February 13#IPhone 14, I have decided to nominate all of Hajoon01012's crystal ball failing redirects. Philosophy, theology, and fundamental theory of canon law

edit

The result of the discussion was delete. -- Tavix (talk) 18:55, 5 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I had RfDed this redirect in April 2021. At the time, the consensus was to keep this redirect since it had existed from 2016 to 2021 and that therefore other websites could link to it.
However, in an RfD of January 2022, other redirects containing the same content and which were created at the same time were deleted per consensus, which motivates me to re-RfD this first redirect.
Moreover, while I have heard the argument of keeping a redirect for legacy purposes for redirects from before 2006 or 2007, I must say I find invoking this argument for such a relatively recent redirect not to hold much weight.
My arguments for this second RfD are as follow. First, those aspects of canon law are not mentioned at all at the target, and it is quite a stretch to expect that every legal system of a Christian organisation (which is what canon law is) has its own philosophy, theology, and fundamental theory. Second, I will add that the idea of a "fundamental theory of canon law" appears to stem from only one book on Catholic canon law, Justice in the Church: A Fundamental Theory of Canon Law by Carlos José Errázuriz.
I for the second time recommend deletion for this redirect. Veverve (talk) 16:48, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
